  2. I think that by 'noise' we mean pink noise, electronically produced random noise filtered to mimic music content. The idea of hundreds of watts produced by 50 bass players all playing different things... No, wait, that is a Bass Bash 😁
  3. Great condition, light home use only. Very good tracking. https://www.boss.info/us/products/sy-1/
  4. Great tuner with lots of options and a brilliant display (with assignable pretty colours too ). Home use only, great condition. https://www.petersontuners.com/products/stroboStompHD/

  5. I bought this a while ago but then I changed my mind and it was too late to return it See all details about the preamp here: https://www.darkglass.com/en-gb/pages/tone-capsule-manual and here: https://www.darkglass.com/en-gb/products/tone-capsule Basically, it's a 3-band with lows at 70Hz, low mids at 500Hz and high mids at 2.8KHz with very easy wiring assembly.
  6. This stereo pedal has three distortion types, can save up to 3 presets as it is without any additional gear. It can, of course, be used with the Neuro hub etc and MIDI for maximum control and maaaany more presets, but I never really explored that, the pedal does all I wanted as it stands. The Neuro app, however, is very handy, as it gives you access to many parameters. The way I used it was to create the basic overdrive/fuzz sounds using the app, and then just rely on the unit's physical controls to adjust drive, blend etc to taste. It's essentially 3 dirt pedals in one, and you can modify each until you are bored . It can run two of the distortion engines simultaneously, and blend them, stack them, or output them in stereo. It can do too many things to mention, so if you're not familiar with the Aftershock it's probably best to have a look at this: https://www.sourceaudio.net/aftershock-bass-distortion.html and this (the demo focus a bit too much on the higher gain sounds, but it's excellend at low gain sounds too): It has heavy duty 3MM velcro on the bottom, which of course can be removed. The original rubber feet were never installed and are included, as well as the cable to connect it to your phone to use the Neuro app, which gives you access to a huge array of parameters.
  7. I had mine in a 1x10 cab and it was actually brilliant, blew it with a massive peak of high frequencies doing silly popping rather than over excursion with really low bass. It dealt with a full band practice but couldn't handle my p155 poor Flea impersonation. Managed to replace it with a Basslite scored for under £30 off eBay back when they weren't also crazy expensive.

Cheers m8 yeah I can't use a plectrum to save my life but I love muting like this, especially with a filter, so you can lift off and let certain notes ring or trigger the filter more than others. That's one of the reasons I really like the lovetone, because it is so responsive to your input and sounds good whether it's sweeping a tiny bit or a lot. Others I have tried could sound indistinct when sweeping low, or produce an uneven response.
  9. Despite being bandless and not having picked up a bass for about 4 months I'd still be in the market for a BBVIS or BBVIIS. I missed out on the last one that popped up.
  10. The pickup is old and I was given a newer one for my 5-string by my luthier who is the kindest of souls. The Spirocores were on the bass at point of purchase (that's what it said on the website). It is definitely a bargain, though. I just hope it is cheap enough to turn the head of someone who is up for 'having a go'.
  11. Spirocores and a Realist Copperhead - you are almost giving the bass away for free! If you lived closer and I was single I’d be snaffling this up sharpish. GLWTS somebody is going to get a bargain here.
  12. I used to have a Peli alike case for mine. I almost liked the case more than the bass! Those wheels.
  13. This is very true - total disaster not confirmed yet, I just assumed it.
  14. You have my sympathy. It does point to that speaker not being suitable for, well, anything, except as a large and very expensive paperweight.

  16. Screws are #4-40 x 1 1/4" (it says in the EBMM parts description). https://www.westfieldfasteners.co.uk/A2-ScrewBolt-PhilFillister-UNCoarse0.1120.html has them 1 3/8" long which would need cutting down slightly (for which a nut would be highly advisable, put nut on first, cut bolt, take nut off so it reforms the end of the thread). Edit: Head description is Philips Filister, thread type is UNC.
  17. Apologies for the slow reply, gigs and stuff! Here’s a few close ups of mine in her case with dimensions. Let me know if you need anymore info.
  18. Where exactly did the wire break? Do you have a photo? If it still visible, you can solder a new wire to it, it's an easy task.
  19. shame about the neck because it's absolutely gorgeous, sure someone could sort it out though and might be worth it for that finish
  20. The above still stands. 😁 I've often thought that I could happily sell all the other stuff and only have a collection of Yamahas. But other stuff is fun too 😉.

    De-Fret??

Ahhh... sorry, not too familiar with Yamaha basses, so I missed that!.
  23. Lovely bass, just posted on alembic website forum. Can't hurt to put it into a focussed group. All the best with the sale.
  24. Eek! Thanks very much - I didn't realise this - that changes the game further. I'd no idea that the grounding wire was connected via the mounting bush. The search for alternatives just became more urgent!
  25. I blew the same driver with a LMII (8ohm nominal load) and the volume at what I thought was a sensible level. Looked online to check how much replacements were (paid about £55 for it new back in the day) and had a bit of a cry.
