  1. Past hour
  2. My apologies that i didn't pick up on that point. I was too focused on bass things. Congrats and hope all went well for both baby and Mom. Dave
  3. The Brother to Brother album was a turning point in my musical direction when it came out. Not just the bass but the drumming was exceptional and the full production was clear and distinct. Just a perfect album. Have a wee listen to Vannellis recent bassist Sandin Wilson's solo album "Into My World" which is pretty good. He was coached by Jimmy Haslip for a bit and Haslip suggested what fretless to go for. Dave
  4. Well I can tell you exactly what I'll be playing and it's not very interesting or original 😂 Fender Japan 60's Classic Precision with LaBella Deep Talkin Flats. Sansamp BDDI, Ampeg Opto Compressor, Boss or MXR Octave and TC Electronic Tuner. Boring but a solid workhorse setup 😂
  5. Sorry, my bad... The thing is i posted this on several forums and perhaps due to english not being my native language, i suspect i didn't manage to convey what i meant as most everyone keeps answering to everything but what i asked - schematics ( i HAVE contacted Epifani..) does anyone have them/knows where i can get them besides Epifani, and saving time to my tech who is in the middle of full tourist season here and overloaded w/ work. Obviously he can get to it without the schematics but, as you well know, it's way simpler/faster if you have them specially if your work load is double or triple what it is in autumn/winter - musicians here are in full gigging mode for the next couple of months Nevermind, i'll just wait for Epifani to answer but thanks for the input anyway
  6. Singist hits some loud shit in our Odelay gig, went great, could have been better, could have been worse, Beck has said the same about his own gigs
  7. Huge fan Neil, thank you so much for these!! Really appreciate all your hard work on the albums themselves and for making these available to us, you're an absolute gent! 🤘🏼🙏🏼

  9. I really should try to do this more @casapete - but I think the old punk bassist in me just likes digging in too much! Lol 😀
  10. Thanks for that @SuperSeagull Mine still has the same functions to the controls - but I think I'd prefer the arrangement you have, with 2x vol and 2x tone. I definitely prefer a passive bass. Only once did a battery fail on me at a gig... but it's a lasting memory. It was quick enough to fix at the time (I usually carry a spare battery) but a pre-amp fail - ooh, that's a scary thought for a live gig, even though I'm sure it doesn't happen often.
  11. Yeah I get that, I’m going to Carlisle for a long weekend soon and it’s £350 before I’ve spent anything on food/refreshments.
  12. OK. The spring does make contact when the switch is depressed but there isn't enough of it to activate the microswitch. I popped a nylon pick between the TACT and the spring, tried again and there is a definite click and the light activates and deactivates. So it's down to the spring. The serial number is - IMG_0880.HEIC IMG_0882.HEIC
  13. There's 2 great things you get on an acoustic guitar with a pickup that you never see on bass guitars: A battery level indication and tuner. Why are these guys things on acoustic guitars but not on basses?
  14. It's usually worked for me except on my stingray special, I think there's some extra jiggery pokery in there.
  15. I had the very same setup, awesome kit, so easy to use. The monitor outs were really useful. Tempted......
  16. Did it come with it's own risk assessment? You'll be having someone's eye out with that, if you're not careful.......
  17. @Allen they are standard 5 string soapbars, even on the 4 string
  18. I'm currently running one of two pedalboards (at the moment doing the smaller one as it's easier to lug around). I use the Stomp on either board not two stomps and all ready have some pedals I'm looking to move on. (Bottom row including the B7K etc I think the Proton I have is a V2) My dilemma is do I sell the bigger board as well as it doesn't get much use and perhaps put it towards something else? Or sell X amount of the pedals and make the smaller board a analogue board with a nice preamp for example?
  19. Hey Mickey - Toni Basil
  20. My best advice is never to run while carrying it: it looks at least 200% more dangerous than a pair of scissors...

It offers 58 great-sounding ways to craft the perfect bass tone. For ease of use, these are organized into the following categories: Dynamics / Filter Shape and control your low end with these 19 different compressors, limiters, equalizers, filters, exciters, and frequency splitters, plus Zoom's Noise Reduction (ZNR) algorithm, designed to remove noise during pauses while still maintaining your instrument's natural tone. Other options here include a bass frequency-specific AutoWah and "talking" modulator, as well as emulations of the MXR DynaComp, Aphex Punch Factory, dbx 160A, BBE Sonic Maximizer, Q-Tron Envelope Filter, Moog MF-101, and Z. Vex Seek-Wah. Overdrive / Distortion The MS-60B's 11 boosters, overdrives, and direct inject / preamp models include simulations of the BOSS ODB-3, DS-1, and Metal Zone, as well as the Electro-Harmonix Bass Big Muff, SansAmp Bass Driver DI, MXR Bass D.I.+, Xotic Bass BB Preamp, and Avalon Design U5. Amp The 6 amp models provided here include emulations of classic tube amplifiers like the Ampeg SVT and Fender Bassman, as well as the contemporary sounds of the Hartke HA3500, acoustic 360, Aguilar DB750, and Italian Markbass Little Mark III, each with its own distinct cabinet modeling that can be used to further alter the tonal quality. What's more, you can pair any amp model to any cabinet model for unusual, and often striking effects. Modulation / Special effects You'll find 14 different modulation and special effects here, all specially crafted for bass. These include phasing, flanging, chorusing, tremolo, detuning, and pitch shifting, as well as a sub-octave generator and an intelligent bass synthesizer that plays along in key—even a DeFret effect that changes the tone of a fretted bass into that of a fretless. Delay / Reverb The MS-60B's cutting-edge DSP microchip performs 32-bit floating-point calculations, giving it the ability to create sophisticated studio-quality effects such as the 8 rich, dense reverbs, and realistic spatial simulations found here. These allow you to place your bass in natural-sounding spaces such as rooms and halls or to add delays of up to 4 seconds. Also included is slap-back echo and a reverb plate emulation, as well as reverse, modulated, and self-oscillating delays.
  23. Ah, I remember it being reported as the Ironbird in Kerrang or Metal Hammer at the time. He used the Ironbird for the full set at the show I was at.
  24. Are the MFD humbuckers 4 wire (i.e can they be coil tapped?)
