  1. Past hour
  2. I have made a start on Let It Roll but am knocking off for the night now so will finish it tomorrow. Blinding track.
  3. Change of plan. Who TF glues in a bolt on neck? Decided to detach the neck, mostly in a fit of pique. I'm knackered. 2 hours of... persuasion using a Japanese saw, a chisel, a Stanley knife, a blow torch (to heat up the Japanese saw once I sawed as deep as I could) and raw brute force and ignorance. What a fscking mess Gonna have to clean that neck pocket out with the router, then probably build it back with veneer. Also, I think the neck's had it - it's too springy - the string change pitch if it leans on something under its own weight. This does not bode well for future tuning stability. On the plus side, I managed not to damage the top wood of the body
  4. I like to keep things simple these days
  5. It’s okay, someone has started a new too trumps list now anyway 🤷‍♂️
  6. Excellent cabs these are.
  7. Great little cab SIM pedal with XLR out and thru port. Quick and easy to load and recall IRs. Has velcro on the bottom. Price includes UK postage. https://shop.hotoneaudio.com/products/omni-ir?srsltid=AfmBOopi3ArFUFryqxYVEzkyrXBmaNhRmgzbJ5g42nlMt8_bBx44r1P1

  8. One Armed Bandit - Judge Dread
  9. I was wondering who'd be first to spot it. Well done. 😁
  10. jack bruce taught me that you do not have to play a fretless as a fretless.
  11. Blimey. They were distributing so many brands, all of which will be looking for new UK distributors. When I was in the trade they offered really long credit terms to retailers, it was a proper lifeline to keeping product on the shelves. This really isn’t good news for the small independents out there.
  12. An amazingly talented band. Dave
  13. Wow! Can’t believe. Hope this bump helps 🫡
  14. Same amp & cab as forever. New bass, tho!
  15. This is my back up amp which was never gigged but used for a couple of practices and carried around in my gig bag “just in case”. The amp is very light and compact hence it lived in my bag. It is 500w according to blurb but I have never found it lacking in a loud band setting. It has some marks and scratches from being in my gig bag but works perfectly. It is surplus to requirements now as I have a Stomp XL that will do the job as an amp back-up. The marks and scratches all shown in the photos which form part of the description. Grab yourself a bargain, lightweight spare amp. Collection from Fleet, Hampshire.

  16. This is very much like a similar cable I put together, but using stereo components to enable me to mount a stereo wireless unit on the strap when using my 4003's rick-o-sound output.
  17. Hopefully this is a one time only deal. GK Fusion 550 running through a headless Mesa Walkabout. The Walkabout head needs repairs, my green TWO10s is up for sale, so it's staying at home. It sounded good at sound check but it's really different.
  18. Apologies for the hijack... as you were.
  19. If ever I'm asked "Are you a musician?" my answer is always "Good God, no - I'm a Bass player"
  20. I doubt you’d say that to a blind or visually impaired student, or musician or virtuoso, so I’m genuinely a bit lost on that statement. (though in 32 years of playing bass I’ve never considered myself a musician )
  21. I'm generally fine whenever. Looking forward to it!
  22. Stingray 4 would definitely be of interest.
  23. Oh don't worry about that, you can just make it up 😃
  24. Agreed! 😎👍
  25. I jammed with Ritchie Hayward of Little Feat once, with Pre-Feeder Grant Nicholas.
