  2. And the annoying chrome bezel is gone too. I found it's removal made mine far, far more playable. Lovely colour combo with the AG and gold. GLWTS

  4. Baby Universal - Tin Machine
  5. Ok this was for a project but I no longer need it. This is a brand new Allparts Jazz neck, never installed of used. Since purchasing I have added a Fender Logo supplied by Rothko & Frost and a bone nut. The frets have been dressed, fretboard oiled and it's in beautiful condition. David Wilson then completely finished the neck in lacquer with a lovely tint on the face, his work is outstanding. In total this neck owes me about £600 ish so offering it out at £450 including UK delivery. Open to offers and potential trades HX Stomp, Radial JDI, Bassrig… let me know

  7. Bizarrely, it reminds me of the Ovation Breadwinner (before anyone says anything, the pic is of the Eastwood Breadwinner, not the Ovation)
  8. I'm not criticising anybody Al I've done many a bodge over the years when money was tight and I needed a practical solution. I'd rather be constructive and help people squeeze a little more out of what they have or save them money when it is tight by counselling against a purchase that won't help. Trying out what you have makes sense. If it works then it isn't wrong but maybe just a bit less than ideal. In this case the lackof a crossover and the positionng of the speakers worries me a little. The idea of a bass cab as a sub not at all. Without a crossover all the bass from the amp is going to the tops and the main reason for a sun is to divert the bass away from the tops so they can be worked harder and cleaner for the mids and highs. You can pick up used crossovers for maybe £50 so adding one at some stage could be a consideration. Having your bass amp behind the mic line with vocals going through it means the vocal mic will pick up amplified vocals. On some stages that will lead to more chance of feedback and it does muddy the vocals anyway. It may be that the bass energy for the audience is worth having and trading it for the downsides still gives a better sound after everything is taken into account. Getting a crossover and putting the bass cab in front of the mic line would be better and a crossover is going to be cheaper than a new sub so maybe that is the next purchase.
  9. The very best of basses. GLWTS!

  17. The B12L will be getting gigged on 5th Nov. I'll be singing and playing two cheap trick classics with a couple of friends at The Vic in Swindon. HX patches done, I just have to learn the lyrics properly 🤔
  18. Thats a Spector RST 5, which weighs as close to nothing as it is possible for a bass to get!
  19. Truly fugly, though I'm sure it sounds amazing . I'd prefer the Les Paul next to it TBH
  20. each have their own merits I suppose but white certainly looks nice
  21. Went for a wander up-town today and spotted this beastie in a pawn shop window. Amazing what's out there if you search. It's up for £6,500 btw, and no, it's nothing to do with me or anyone I know either.
  22. Oh dear oh dear oh dear - can I possibly justify a 3rd Spector. Please tell me it weights at least 10lbs ?!! 😂
  23. Yes, that works better because you are not using the same signal, you are using a different signal on each path that has different resonant frequencies and dips
