To all intents and purposes the air in the port will just 'see' your printed port as a cylinder of air so this is great. the flange will cover any imperfections and give you a potential way of securing the port. For the technical nerds: there are sharp changes of pressure at the ends of the port when the air is moving. This is different at the end of the baffle where there is a 180deg change and the inside end of the port where it is 360deg. WinISD includes an end correction in the calculations and to date I haven't measured anything to suggest it isn't accurate. I've got some printed flanges I'm meaning to try which curve the exit of the port (much bigger radius than Rob's port). These are meant to allow a slower change in pressure and reduce turbulence in the port. Even with a big radius on the end of the port I still wouldn't expect you to need to change the length significantly. Your flange should have no audible effects.

Opened my board up last practice to find it was all loose and messed up! Don’t know how! Probs getting the guys in the band to help me load out at last gig and they might have been a tad violent! lol any ways I had a few things to put on! And before you all say the ashdown bass exchange is a vibe and I love it!! And I’m fully aware how extra it is!!! -
Maybe one of these

I bought a couple of Carol Kaye teaching books and CD from Nick - they arrived very well packed and very promptly too - it was a pleasure doing business with him and now I can prove how bad I am at reading standard notation all over again. Thanks, Nick!

Oh man, I remember sound control <sniffs> - got my first bass in the one in Dundee!! Visited the one in Edinburgh. Bought my first decent amp in Dundee, TNT150 and a 2x8 bright box which I still have. All way back in the late 80s / early 90s.

Cornwall Steve started following Low output from bass?

In 2023 I bought the very same bass. Initially it was fine and I enjoyed it for what it was. After a year I noticed the volume output was diminishing. Tried to rectify it in the only way I knew how. I changed the battery, changed the amp, changed the guitar lead, checked volume settings on guitar and amp, and fiddled with the other amp controls (like the Gain). All to no avail. I began to suspect wiring or jack socket so off it went to the Luthier. Came back with no defects found. I hung on to it through the past few months but eventually gave up and decided to move it on. It sold a few days ago. Nice enough bass in many ways (I especially enjoyed the smooth neck coupled with the maple fretboard) but I wouldn't buy another.

At that price and period of time, it sounds like it would have been a US Made Spector NS bass. The US custom shop many variations on the theme of the NS shape, with different woods, finishes, fingerboards etc and in 4,5 and 6 string versions.

Mmm... Tea...

Did you read my post? Brand new batteries tried and of course I check the volume is up full & my EQ is flat once Im plugged in.

Elon is part of the problem and not the solution. His involvement in other countries politics is frankly terrifying.

Was using the Neotech Mega but switched to Pinegrove. Superb straps.

BassAgent started following G&L in trouble...?

I'm not surprised. If Fender's goal was to acquire Leo's workplace and his name and likeness, it's not more than logical that they don't "need" the G&L stock. They won't sell Fender-branded basses with G&L branded bridges and MDF pickups, anyway. It's a lot cheaper to sell or dispose of that stuff than to try to re-purpose it.

Ah hang on, you mentioned inlays.... Maybe scratch my dumb question then

Sadly inequality in Sweden has risen sharply since the 1990s and it is now the largest gap between rich and poor in the Nordic countries and also has a rising pace of racial tension and populist support than other Nordic countries. It’s probably not surprising that intolerance and populism goes hand in hand with inequality. It’s a trend playing out across the democratic world. The solution to this crisis IMO is only achieved through sound money and taxation of wealth rather than the narrow focus of income. This chart tells us everything we need to know if we continue down this path. Governments via central banks will continue to borrow massively and the velocity of money supply will continue to cause inflation while having a less and less impact upon economic growth. This is a doom loop feeding inflation of assets and a crisis in the bond markets as investors retreat from a system that is mathematically doomed to collapse eventually.
-
Dumb question but..... Are you sure it wasn't a Warwick Streamer? You know, curved body, looks like a Spector but with a wenge neck Only asking as you couldn't remember how many strings it had and if you're about the same age as me then I can't remember where I was last Tuesday 😂

Hi is your bass Active / passive if so is there any change in volume between the two. is it the same issue with both basses? Try the simple things first . try a different lead, try another battery although you say its new there are sometimes faulty batches sold, are you using standard 9volt or rechargable 9volt. Have you tried a different bass through your amp. it looks most likely a wiring issue either pickups , or on board pre amp , check all the soldered joints on the pots and any preamp boards.

Despite the somewhat sarcastic delivery, Hellzero is not wrong in the philosophy - back to basics. So, the volume is up full, the EQ (on the bass) is set flat, and you've tried a fresh battery, correct?
