JPJ started following Roasted vs Standard necks - Stability?

I can’t help thinking that ‘roasted’ has only come about as a result of CITES restrictions on the sale of rosewood and other dark fingerboard materials such as ebony. I don’t remember seeing a roasted neck before CITES became a thing? Personally, for some unfathomable reason, I cannot get away with maple fingerboards on basses I play live. I had a beautiful sunburst Stingray 5 that had to go as I could not adjust to the maple board.

I tried to get along with a Jazz Bass, I just always went back to a Precision when playing a Fender. -
"Phalic Bass Move" Gotta be one of the best band names I've heard in a long time!

So , We bought the bullet and got Pair of EV active speakers , which sound Amazing and do everything under the sun. The working Mackie becomes a rear stage monitor , we have front wedges , the old one is in my Garage area to take down to the Tip when I get some time ... i cant justify keeping it for spares unless anyone local, wants to claim it , ( I might post it in the freebies section ) Unfortunately I don't feel like getting it working would save it for the band at this point its " tainted " as far as the guitarists are concerned.

Not good. Unless A is your close mate or you genuinely love being in the band and see it as having a real future (neither of which comes through in your post, but that's just my reading of it) then walk away, Renee. If A thinks B is ropey and vice versa then it is probably not just the skill level at play on any case.

What am I doing wrong with EMG pickup?

"Solderless" doesn't mean easy. And in this case, you'll have to get the soldering iron out anyway. Either that or the drill... -

For sale, I purchased this from the Lovely Sarah up in Huddersfield a while back here on BC. It was her Dads amp and is a testament to his love and care for it. It is in excellent condition and shifts a serious amount of air. I am always in disbelief at its 100 watt rating!? It is full, rich, and thumps with a P bass or a Thunderbird 🤗🤗 It works very well and is super clean. One of the graphic sliders seems to do very little so it think we can mark that down as needing a sort out. No other scratchy pots or issues to report. All original as far as i can tell. It has no model number on the front panel unlike any other I have seen, not sure if this is good or bad?? Construction is totally bomb proof and it carries the weight to go along with that. On casters so easily movable but lifting is a two man job. I have throughly enjoyed owning this iconic beast but space and handling mean I could do with moving it on to another lucky soul. It has a ripped dust cover but keeps it tidy. See pics for most details I think needed covering but more available on request of course. Due to the size and weight I am willing to meet up an hour or so from Liverpool to deliver, but I will look into large bulk shipping for any interested buyer. I will split this cost so not much more than an average size cab would cost to post i guess. Cheers Craig.

One of my bitsas, increasingly my go to these days, La Bella DTs, baseball neck, just does the job really 👍
