  2. I'm being careful not to get us into a 'he said, she said' situation.
  3. The BC has led strips under the grill which you can still use if you get yourself a new power supply for it (prob a tenner or less).

  5. That's a sad story. Any new details on what went wrong? Daryl
  6. Acoustic gig. We played a Community Service Award Event tonight. Strictly background stuff. We played a 45 minute set and " walk on" music for the award winners. Nothing to share. It was a gig. The full Maple Road band plays Saturday night. Were going back in time a doing a late night bar gig. We haven't done a bar gig in years. Daryl
  7. Amongst The Waves - Pearl Jam
  8. There's still a lot to like about the final output. Mark
  9. Our recent gigs were afflicted by some really strange playing and singing errors. There were discussions after the Sunday night gig and I sent a message about the situation on Monday morning, to which our guitarist replied, telling us he'd left the band. We are currently in the process of seeking a replacement.
  10. GUITARIST REQUIRED FOR WORKING BAND. It is with deep regret that we have to announce that our guitarist has left The Three after 9 years. As a result, we're not in a position to play all of our gigs, so we are reluctantly obliged to cancel some bookings in May and June. We will look at bookings further into the band diary as we go along and will keep you informed. Our Sunday jam nights will NOT be affected. So... The Three seek a reliable, enthusiastic and dynamic all-round rhythm-lead-capable guitarist with some decent vocals, who's got the availability to play with us on the dates on the front page of www.the3.co.uk - including regular Sunday jam nights. Our age range is what we'd politely call 'mature' (meaning we are at the older end of the scale). As far as band bookings go, 2026 will be run at a slightly more relaxed pace than this year. Our set list and video is on the www.the3.co.uk website, and the set includes some original songs from our CD album. We are open to some changes to the set list and look forward to hearing from some good players. Message me.

  12. Chatgpt... so near and yet so far. I even told it the number of strings and tuners should be four. Thunderbird 2-Inspired Bass Guitar Design Body Shape: Form: Sleek, asymmetrical body echoing the curved, aircraft-like lines of Thunderbird 2. Inspiration: The body mimics the green fuselage with a forward-leaning, aerodynamic front horn and a shorter, angled lower horn reminiscent of the craft’s landing gear pods. Material: Swamp ash or alder for weight balance, with a matte olive green finish and subtle panel lines etched in for a metallic look. Color Scheme: Primary: Military green (Pantone-matched to Thunderbird 2) Accents: Yellow striping around the edges, black detailing (like warning markings), and "2" decal near the lower bout. Neck: Construction: Bolt-on or neck-through maple neck with a matching green headstock. Fingerboard: Rosewood or ebony with dot inlays shaped like tiny landing pods or retro-futuristic circles. Headstock: Design: Shaped like the cockpit of Thunderbird 2, with curves and a visor-like top edge. Tuners: Four chrome or black tuners (2 per side or 4-in-line, depending on balance), styled with angular gear housings inspired by VTOL jet nozzles. Pickups & Electronics: Configuration: P/J or dual humbuckers for punch and clarity. Controls: Knurled metal knobs for volume/tone, with toggle switches that look like control levers from the show. Bridge: Chunky, aircraft-inspired design—possibly custom-machined aluminum with industrial-looking vents or gear-like detail. Special Touches: LED edge lights under the pickguard or body perimeter (subtle, green glow). Engraved serial plaque on the back: "International Rescue Equipment Division." 13. Best of British, Snorks. It was nice knowing you...
  14. I am within a week or so of completing my banjo restoration project. It seems that I only need to learn four 'rolls' (that are easy enough on guitar) and a handful of chord shapes and I will be a fully qualified bluegrass musician.
  15. Cruel. But fair. 18s don't bring the words 'crisp' or 'detailed' to mind.
  16. I’m guessing I’ll be able to get there around 10, and will need to push off at 3ish. I can bring a spare stand which anyone is welcome to borrow until I need to take it away again. Looking forward to meeting you all, and your basses!
  17. I added a bassline to the work of two creative guitar players.
  18. It’s an isolated power supply unit about the size of a pack of Cooks Matches which powers multiple pedals without needing to daisy chain them. Boring but very effective.
  19. I gigged the 1x15 version for 3 years, didn't miss a beat. Great Combo's these. GLWTS

  21. Whoah you really cranked up that modulation 😁 I'm super excited you're enjoying the pedal!
  22. Photos with original pickguard fitted.
  23. Internet innit. People have made creating terrible videos into a career. I don’t really watch YouTube, if I’m honest, but if I saw any of these it’s pretty self evident they’re fake BS. The kind of faux outrage is what it is. People seem personally upset because I guess the my assume that because they’ve seen the videos they have some kind of relationship with them. I find all this a bit weird.
  24. Change of plans this weekend, so sadly can’t make it now.
  25. Just bought a lovely Vanderkley cab from Dave. Really easy transaction. Arrived nice and quickly in perfect condition. Good comms all the way.
