  1. Past hour
  2. Just to confirm, this is the latest model. It's also an absolute bargain.
  3. This is a mk1 Digitone in very good condition with original psu, no box. Loaded with a bunch of additional presets, and I have a print-out of the manual and cheat sheet. The only issue with it is that the volume encoder is a bit wobbly. Apparently this is quite common with some of the older Elektron boxes, looking at the Elektronauts forum, and it does not affect the function. Still, I’m listing it with a decent discount just in case it needed seeing to down the line. Meet-up preferred in London/Margate but can ship Parcelforce 24.

  4. How have you partitioned this up to separate the basses @Beedster?
  5. Lol we use Accu quite a bit ... they are a really good solution for difficult to find things - like tiny M1.6 Allen headed cap machine screws ... we use these to replace drilled out rivets in some old Hofner pickups when we rewind them ... as we invariably have to! Handy on some old DeArmond stuff too.
  6. Not an easy lift trust me, I had to move them down the stairs recently, one of those jobs that you realise midway through doing on your own that you need two people for! I do not know Chris but will keep an eye out 👍 They come up occasionally but often around £400-450 It is, it's almost worth buying more basses to justify having one, have to say I'm not sure you'd get a 35" 5er in however 🤔
  7. Not my videos... they are my partners in this collaboration!
  8. I've only ever had D'Addario Chromes or Fender flats. Neither, thankfully, have felt sticky, just smooth 😎
  9. Great bass at a great price too!
  10. I read through the thread about sharpening chisels and I have to doff my cap to the lady. I love watching Masters (doesn't seem quite right to say Mistresses) in action. I sit at the feet of greatness. I shake my head and realise I will never achieve that level of Jedi like woodwork. Rob
  11. Nothing can be "too vintage" for me, that why I like it! I do play a vintage P bass with LaBella flats on though. Rob
  12. Thanks but I'm never going to achieve that! I do have a little jig to hold your chisel at the right angle while you work it on the sharpening stone though, and that will have to do.
  13. Thanks - it does the job! I did it with basic hand tools so the screw holes aren’t countersunk correctly. The drill bit I bought for the job just chewed up the plastic I tried it on so I had to improvise and they aren’t as deep as I would’ve liked.
  14. Bergantino CN112 Bass Cab Lightweight bass cab with 12’’ woofer and adjustable tweeter it weighs just under 13kgs and has a compact footprint. It is in very good condition and comes with original Bergantino cover also in good condition. There are some scuffs to the corners, etc but nothing major. Apparently it is the redesigned version of the classic AE112, it retains the clean/smooth detailed highs, from the acclaimed HD tweeter and cross-over, plus tight, smooth mids and plenty of low end that defies it’s size. 350 watts 8 ohms impedance. Selling as I have too many cabs and not enough opportunities to use them! Pickup preferred as I’m not sure I have a decent big enough box. Possibly post now at buyer’s cost as I have found a box.

  17. Just polishing up my J4 after quite a bit of use. Can never get over how cool this top is!

  19. Christine did some work on a Tele body I needed a belly cut on. I drove over there in 30 minutes (unheard of at this end of the world) and marvelled at wood coming off in thin sheets like peeling paper. It made me want to learn to do woodwork. Proper sharpness right there.
  20. that is a thing of beauty 😮
  21. I have just bought this Jazz Bitsa from Chris. Great bloke to deal with. Good communication and hassle free sale. Nice natter about basses and bass playing when I showed up today to collect it. Thanks Chris 👍
  22. Just wanted to add some extra info on the neck following enquiry by pm: It's not mega narrow, 41mm at nut, 55mm at 12th fret. But it is quite a flat profile, I make the neck thickness 21mm between 2nd and 3rd fret with a caliper. I got comparing to my ATK - There's only a couple of mm extra on the ATK both in width at neck and thickness at the nut. The critical difference though is that the GMR barely gets any thicker up the neck - it's still only a smidge over 21mm thick at the 12th fret, the ATK is 30mm, so that contributes a lot to the slim/fast feel of the neck even if it's not a nice narrow 38mm at nut.
  23. I bought one of these a few weeks ago; fantastic bass. Wide but really comfortable neck, and a huge range of sounds. Absolutely love it, and recommend this. Best of luck with the sale.
  24. As far as I remember, the neck was part of the centre block of rock maple, and then set into the walnut tone block. Rob called them "thru-necks" (see brochure scan above.) It's the same construction method as the graphite necked Empathy of the same time period, and latterly the S-2 Classic evolution. of the original Series-II.
  25. You got me thinking about the Gnome. Seems to have a lot of juice, and to me the sound is quite similar to the ELF. What do you all think about a Gnome plus a TC Electronics 2x8 mini setup for the studio and rehearsals? I could add another 8ohm 1x10 down the road for more lows.
