  2. It is indeed! Congrats on getting an SY 200! I know you're particularly interested in the arp feature - 18 different presets provided on the pedal and you can tweak both pitch and tempo. I've managed to dig out a YT clip of it in action: Boss SY-200 arpeggiator & pitch shift via expression pedal
  3. That made me laugh... Thankfully my coffee cup was on the desk so I didn;t spit it out over my nice keyboard. I do actually really like my ultra short scale Ibanez. It looks like it was used on a building site as a shovel, and may well have been, but it plays well, it sounds great and is a little unusual. Rob
  4. Having a dig around on Youtube, it looks like it was the Soul Train Lady of Soul Awards, which is a yearly occurrence. I have found another listing of that clip that says it is 2011, so your guess is as good as mine as to when it actually was.... It does look like I was right and it was a show band backing the star vocalists.
  5. Listening now! Glad you are loving the JF Capo!!
  6. Well I guess good luck to you all. The blue print is taking shape across the Atlantic. I hope you all have a road map with a potential exit strategy if it’s required. Edit: Be respectful. If you are clear that you are doing something with respect, not parody, almost everyone sensible will accept it. For now anyway. Totally agree with this one. I would also add prioritise what you have in common with your supposed adversaries and don’t trust anyone who offers no solutions other than to blame others.
  7. Apparently, the Modulus made early necks were a myth (rrp of a modulus neck was almost as much as the rrp of the G Bass), and they are not actually carbon necks as marketed, they have a maple core with a carbon wrap. Still cracking basses for the money of course, but really interesting marketing choice from Peavey; the manual literally says it's a Carbon Graphite neck with no mention of it being mostly wood. Crazy but there you go. Still want it!
  8. Time has come to let go of this great bass rig. Had this for gigs but only got through one before the band had issues again. If I play again will be going to a power amp/modelling pedal and In ear setup as most of the places I can practice are quiet or have cabs available. Head was a purchase through Ashdown as a last chance with the warranty etc it has some dents scratches on it but all works great and is a powerful great sounding beast. I love Ashdown have had many over the years ABMs/CTMs/LBs this one is brilliant has all you expect from an ABM a professional level amp. 600w 9 band Eq Dual UV for input and output Speakon outs Foot switch option (not included) Size 135mm x 474mm x 320mm (£400 Ono collection preferably but could post at cost) Markbass MB58R 104 PURE Bass Cab 4ohm 800watt version This is a light exceptionally portable bass cab With great bass response which is surprising after you have carried it in. Has an adjustable tweeter and is just a great cab. Weight is around 16kg so an easy one person lift. Sounds great is great would keep it but is just taking up spare room space. Crossover Frequency: 3.5 Khz Frequency Response: 40hz to 20khz Sensitivity Db Spl: 103 Db Impedance: 4 Ohms Reflex: Rear 578mm x 600mm x 470mm (£500 on its own but collection only on the cab as wouldn't have a box etc) Any questions feel free to ask. Would consider a Nice Jap Pbass or a PJ of some sort as a trade /part trade

  10. I don't think that's the narrative anymore in the western world, whether it's accurate or not.
  11. My take on all this is the world is divided into 3 groups. Those who rely on income, those living at a subsistence level and those who have wealth and live via extracted rents. This is inter continental and occurs across all races, religions and cultures. The more time people spend getting polarised and dividing themselves into sub-groups with infighting and division the faster the rent extraction group grows and the more people are pushed into the subsistence class. We are entering a new era and it’s time to bury the old narratives and work together to maintain some semblance of economic independence.
  12. I didn't have this exact thing but i had an amp head that had this built into it... probably about 20 years ago. It was a bit shit, even for back then. Your version is an obvious rip off of the line 6 pod from around the same time! not sure id spend the money getting a power supply for it, but id also probably keep a hold of it incase I find one going free!
  13. Looking forward to hearing this. "To the Rescue" is one of my favourite songs/records of recent years.
  14. My Blue P/J Bitsa Bass
  15. Wow 😮
  16. Hehehe. I fondly remember how I played for funerals and weddings on the same day - playing the same pieces twice: in minor and slow at the funeral, and of course in major and up-tempo at the wedding. 😀
  17. Hi dies anybody recognise the marking on these Jazz pick ups? Thanks Tony
  18. I did a bit of busking with DB and a drummer. Drum and Bass, geddit? We even did sone D&B inspired musings. I had a few pedals and a battery rig.
  19. Yup - it's tricky. This intersects in my day job all the time so I encounter it lots. For these specific examples: Ex 1: Yes, it definitely could by some because you have the dominant group - in this case white people who come from the colonial powers - picking and choosing elements of the colonised culture. The Beatles in India with the Maharishi would be a great example. UK comedian Nish Kumar makes fun of stuff like this all the time. Ex 2: No because the colonised are claiming the rituals of the coloniser. Ex 3: For the left: no partially because of the the same reason as ex 2, and partially because rap music and fashion comes from an oppressed group, the African-Americans. The issue becomes when middle class white guys do it. But then what about the Beastie Boys who were the children of well-known Jewish intellectuals and obviously have so much talent that they get a cultural free pass? Or Eminem, another huge talent who comes from the same background as most black hip-hop artists. Also: so influential that he too gets a pass. For the right: yes because their view of modern cultural thought is that white people, especially white males, are themselves an identity group under siege on all sides. Leaders around the western world have rallied to this cause and we saw 100,000 - 150,000 in London last week and to some of them it is an existential crisis hence the "Great Replacement Theory". "Political correctness gone mad," "censorship by the left," and "too woke" are common complaints from people on the right. Also, Brooklyn's Adam Yauch Park - named after the Beastie's MCA - is constantly being graffitied with swastikas and Yauch himself was a practicing Buddhist. You see what a Gordian Knot this is? A basic tactic that tends to work with 85% of the population: 1) Don't punch down, only punch up. (Although that got Stephen Colbert and Jimmy Kimmel cancelled and sent the MAGA faithful on a McCarthy - or should I say McKirky - purge of progressives in the US when they punched up. So this might not work any more.) 2) Be respectful. If you are clear that you are doing something with respect, not parody, almost everyone sensible will accept it. For now anyway. If these are annoying to you, don't shoot the messenger; I'm not saying that I agree with these. I am just trying to give examples that I have encountered in the professional world. I will say that all this is incredibly had for musicians. Music has always been a sponge that relies upon being influenced by anything.

    Cab covers

Hot Covers are based in Carluke, Scotland. Not only are their products very high quality, their service is impeccable. I had an urgent need for four custom covers for the LFSys Monaco. Ordered on Monday - and they were here on Tuesday. So, definitely not made in China. As others have said, it's good to support what little UK-based manufacturing industry we have left.
  21. Drummer Wanted for 70's Glam Rock Band Cambs area looking for a drummer for a newly formed Glam Rock Covers Band Slade, T-Rex, Bowie, Mud, Sweet etc etc
  22. I got given one of these, just the unit, no power supply and no idea if it works at all? Does anybody have any knowledge about these? The psu for these appears to be a bit old school so I don’t have one that Is it worth getting a power supply to see if it works? if not does anybody want it, door stop, paperweight?
  23. Hello folks Just thought I’d let you know that the new The Divine Comedy album is out today. We recorded this back in September last year at Abbey Road. There’s a bit of upright bass and the rest is pretty much all on the Wilcock bass I bought off the lovely @Old Man Rivajust before the sessions started. And for those interested the electric bass was always running through the Jad Freer Capo I bought off @Chadu25 too so the Basschat Marketplace has had a big influence on bottom end of this record! Hope you like it 😎 Simon
  24. If postage ever becomes an option please DM me @Lozz196 and let me know, this would have sold within a week if it had been I think
  25. One of the above, in good condition aside from slight wear on the back of the top horn near the strap button, and holes on the headstock where I fitted a Hipshot triple retainer - happy to put it back on if required. Weighs 7.7lbs. Comes in a generic gig-bag. No shipping, collection/meet up only.
