Status Graphite uses a very similar (if not the same) jack socket, and sells them in their online store at 3 GBP. Their site doesn't allow hotlinking because it uses frames, but when you go to their online shop section, under "Spare parts", click the "Jack sockets etc" button and scroll nearly all the way down.

I’ve never considered anything other than fuses to do the job of protecting the transformers from excess current. Every valve amp circuit I’ve ever seen has used fuses. The front panel may not look quite so clean when I label all the controls!

If musicians want to play some music that's strongly identified with a culture, ethnicity or race that's not their own then that's a wholly positive thing. Whether they make a good job of interpreting and performing the music is an entirely different discussion, but to say that certain music is out-of-bounds is ridiculous. You can't use potential offense as a yardstick for what is and isn't permissable. All kinds of people get offended about all kinds of things. Individuals have a right to cause offense. They may be justified in doing so. Human beings are capable of infinite subtlety and music is one of the sublime expressions of that subtlety. That so many people would give such conscientious consideration to a dogma that places offense and historical grievances above all else is an ominous development. Even if those things were true they would not justify compromising anyone's right to freedom of expression. . If you want to play Fela Kuti then play Fela Kuti. If it sounds crap and/or you look ridiculous playing it, we'll let you know. The responsibility for making a decent job of it is yours.

By all means ask questions, I don't mind.

Forgive me if it's obvious but when are said bashes? I figured about the Pickups but even so it is very odd to get four misbuilt ones direct from EMG.

The GSS Bulletpack runs on DC and has a barrel socket, so you have options with batteries meant for laptops. GSS also sell compatible batteries on their website, but I only own the amp. It's kept up with loud big bands in village halls but I've never used it outside. If I am able to make this bash, I'll see if I can bring it along.

If you think non-jewish actors playing Jewish characters is as bad as blackface you must also object to this:

If you read the published stats you will find that obviously has to be true as most men between 30 and 49 have 3 or fewer friends and 15% have none. If you are not living where you grew up that goes up to 1/4. Even when I was young and had quite a lot of friends, most of them were not musical at all, I certainly couldn't make a group now, even if they lived close.

Excellent! Haven't seen her since leaving school... Apparently "more than half" of the tickets have been sold - perhaps we'll almost have a crowd. Even Swamp's coming!

Prepaid, hopefully... See you soon!

What are you listening to right now?

The first single from the new BLUT AUS NORD record. I've loved these guys for a very long time, despite their sound changes. https://open.spotify.com/prerelease/3Zipf1wkqYRvZnT1F3WQy6?si=CD5sL0MgS3usu6PsvXNjPg&context=spotify%3Aprerelease%3A3Zipf1wkqYRvZnT1F3WQy6 -
They are awesome basses aren't they! We have more coming soon (hopefully)

Amazing to be so stubborn @steantval ! Here it is again! The official reference is Switchcraft 113X. 😉 https://www.switchcraft.com/assets/1/24/110x-m110x_series_cd.pdf?5406 You can find it here at a normal price: https://www.mouser.co.uk/ProductDetail/Switchcraft/113X?qs=iwvYsH9bSFbrUaj7QgyZ6A%3D%3D&srsltid=AfmBOoqhz7UfD89CrWZlOZAJMRlC2_sCGRrr2q8MhwZkTH-_NYfW8N7R The two wiring possibilities are here, accordingly to the type of output jack:

I like gloss necks. I hate it when necks have a satin or sanded-back finish. The more poly, the better. -
Fair enough if someone likes them I guess they are just down to taste. I have had 3 or 4 basses with the licensed barts in and I don't have any of them any more. I am generally not one for selling basses but they weren't things that I would have kept, I would have kept the Ibanez 805 if I could have got other pickups for it, but they were expensive at the time due to their size (as its fan fret they were wide), I really liked the bass.

I too will take a look. A good battery powered bass amp has so far been out of my grasp. I have a Roland Cube Street Ex for my piano accordion & synth but it doesn't do the low end well enough for my jazz or my bass uke, and it's no good at all for my upright. The best I've managed so far is an Orange Crush-B with a Jackery camping power pack - but I'd rather not have mains leads playing outdoors.

Get someone in the states to buy it and send to you? At £3.10 plus probably about £10 postage it isn't a massive risk...

You mean like this guy? He seems sort of familiar for some reason...

4-Pos/3-Pole Rotary Switch for two pickup wiring
Mediocre Polymath replied to Immo's topic in Repairs and Technical
I don't think so, no. I've not done any serious electrics stuff in a while, so I can't make sense of either diagram right now (despite drawing one of them myself). I just know that this works and that I wrote it down at some point. One bit of advice I would add is that the sealed plastic rotary switches that most vendors sell aren't very robust. I've had two fail now – not catastrophically, but annoyingly (having to wiggle the switch to get position 4 to engage, that sort of thing). I don't know if you can get heavier duty three pole switches anymore though. -
....sounds like a lot of people's marriages as well 🙂! Mind you it's easier to get a long with people when there is a common task - I get on fine with my cricket team during the cricket season, but avoid them in the off season!!
