  2. You might need to add in some lows or/and low-mids but assuming it’s not a really loud band I’d think you’ll be fine.
  3. The auction does offer shipping at a not unreasonable cost, but you'd have to hope they know how to pack a cab for shipping. They clearly didn't look after it during their ownership! It's the old model, with 200w drivers opposed to the more recent 250w drivers. The panel says 4 and 12 ohms, but I can't see how this would be achieved without the switch option of the later versions. Can anyone enlighten me? It would have to be bought for cheap if you were to factor in a factory recover/refinish and regrill. I would expect a nice condition modern Two10 with cover to be around £500-£550 secondhand. @Merton a custom finish couldn't include a coloured baffle and steel grill though, as the cloth front cabs can't be converted. I reckon my best offer couldn't be more than £250, and I doubt they would accept that. Rob

  10. Hello everyone, Having recently upgraded both my touring and backup boards with Cioks power supplies, this is now surplus to requirements. It has recently been serviced and re-capped, and everything works well. It comes with a useful amount of standard 2.1mm pedal leads in short & long lengths, including the useful Voodoo Labs 18V adaptor lead, and a pair of mounting brackets. Also included, but not photographed, is a brand-new Thomann UK kettle/IEC lead. Everything is in used, but good overall condition, and ready to go to work! EDIT: I'm looking for just £100 for the lot, which includes mainland UK postage. No offers or trades please. Please message me if interested, and thanks for looking! Etienne
  11. If you exclusively play your bass with fingerstyle, you might not know where to start when it comes to pick playing. This is a common issue for bass players, and students often come to me with this problem. They say that when they've tried using a pick, some of the following challenges arise: ❌ Unable to play consistently ❌ Unable to play fast ❌ Not knowing how to hold the pick This is not surprising really if you think back to how difficult it was to play a bass line when you first started bass. It's fine if you started on pick, but if you didn't, you have to develop your picking technique. ✅ Playing pick bass is not as hard as you think though. You just have to add in some pick playing to your practice sessions. I've put together a video tutorial to show you how to get started and to give you some tips and exercises that will help you to become a great pick player. These do work, as this is how I started playing with a pick when I was in the same boat as you, years ago! Now I often use both fingerstyle, and the pick. You’ll find a free download link in the video description. The PDF contains all the lesson exercises in notation and Tab.
  12. It works, not had a chance to turn it up loud. Good enough for my purposes, and I put casters on it
  13. Sadly I have not had time to check the finish/damage at the rear, but the large specs of dust can be wiped away.
  14. I’ve done a load of indoor pub gigs and my neo212 and GK fusion 550 is more than loud enough with volume at 9 O’clock. All the outdoor/festival gigs have been on proper stages with a big PA and sound engineer so my cab was just for stage monitoring. Have my first beer garden gig and just wondering if I need to bring an extra cab so I have 4x12 or will the 2x12 cut it. Would rather just bring a single 2x12 if I can as space is going to be tight in the car
  15. This looks gorgeous..
  16. Yes, the stack knob is the New Mexican signature model.
  17. So after how many generations/years in the UK does a tree/plant/animal become a native species, assuming a wild population? Not a political statement or loaded question, just curious.
  18. Bloodsport -= Choked
  19. Driving down to Dorset tomorrow morning if anyone interested is en route…
  20. Yeah I saw that and thought the same. Nuts. Half keeping an eye on it though, as @Bill Fitzmaurice says, low ball offer and re-tolex it. I’m not that far from BF so could get them to do one of their custom finishes… dammit I’m talking myself into something I don’t need 😆
  21. Fox on the Run - The Sweet
  22. The B string on the Anaconda Essence J5 Ultra (an import bass) was seriously good, I’ve been mulling over the idea of putting a 50% deposit down on a new one for this years run of them, as you (almost) never see them used, which says a lot in itself! I’m not fussed either way on headless basses but that does look nice!
  23. Little Red Riding Hood - 999
