Sometimes I will see a photo of someone posing with a guitar or bass

Sometimes I will see a photo of someone posing with a guitar or bass, and it annoys me to see that they are clearly not playing it.

 

 

Thumb on the strings.  The other fingers holding the guitar up. No strap. 

 

 

Am I the only person who is annoyed by this sort of thing? Probably....

I must admit to being rather irked whenever I see how the bass player was generated on the Enterprise-D's holodeck.

This was on at the weekend and always bugged me. I'm sure he did it for comic effect, but Larvell Jones (Michael Wilmslow) "playing" bass on the back of a Strat?

It's like the advert that's on at the moment where a young kid is playing a strat, then jumps on a pedal. The guitar sounds exactly the same. So he jumps on it again... and it still sounds the same.

Thanks for the reminder. That was hilarious. Peely, bless him, was pretty much tone deaf. Couldn't carry a tune to save his life.
