Sometimes I will see a photo of someone posing with a guitar or bass, and it annoys me to see that they are clearly not playing it.

 

 

Thumb on the strings.  The other fingers holding the guitar up. No strap. 

 

 

Am I the only person who is annoyed by this sort of thing? Probably....

I must admit to being rather irked whenever I see how the bass player was generated on the Enterprise-D's holodeck.

I hear ya. You’d think they could find a pupil who actually plays guitar to advertise stuff like, er, playing a guitar.
