Hi everyone. Got together with @warwickhunt, @cd_david and Tim yesterday for a bit of a plunk and natter. Here's some pics.

A Basschat Mini-Meet. What a great idea! Love the Mesa road ready rig, thats proper room filling bass amplification imho 🙂

Wow, deja vu all over again. . . .  I gigged a Mesa Boogie 400+ (then an Ampeg SVT 3 PRO) into a Road Ready 210EV and Road Ready 115EV for many years. What a great sound. Then my back gave out and I've been hurting ever since!! I have mixed feelings about that rig, but I miss that sound.

Boogie made two versions. The Diesel cabs were the usual black vinyl, while the Road Ready series were effectively built into flight cases that had a removable front.

Came like that from the factory. They’re called Road Ready (RR)

Those and  my Boogie 1516 are genuinely the best cabs I’ve ever owned. Not light by any means but worth the effort 🤪

I can imagine! The bit of my brain that manages low back pain is screaming "NO!!!!" but I'm just overriding those negative thoughts as they look so cool. Even if I didn't gig them, they'd look good in the corner of my practice room.

 If you can manage the weight then they are great cabs. Mine weighed around 90lbs each and were brilliant until my back gave out. Putting them into a studio would be a great idea.

It’s amazing isn’t it, the weight of the gear that we used to have to cart about.

Ooh, a lovely collection of basses. Love the Ibanez Musicians, especially the 8 string. And that 4005 is lovely.

I had/have all those. . . . but just lifting 90lbs x 2 in and out of the car and on and off a stage was enough to cause me all my grief.
