Nail Soup
Would need a decent EQ ...........to boost the centre-mids.
Maude
Can we have a whole band? Massive Attack up front.
mep
Guigsy should be in there. The one from Oasis, not Ryan.

peteb
Presumably you would have Rick Savage from Def Leppard in there somewhere - he was on Sheffield United's books as a kid.
chrisba
I reckon Chris Wolstenholme as centre-back. He looks like he wouldn't take any prisoners and I would send him forward for corners and free kicks.
gerryc
Slight derail, in the early 70s Golden Wonder crisps ran a competition whereby you had to pick a football team from the then Div1 and Div2 players and give the team a nickname. I entered and named players such as Billy Bremner, Norman Hunter, Ron "chopper Harris, Nobby Styles all known for their rather direct approach. I gave them the nickname "The Crispy Crunchers". Never heard anything from Golden Wonder
chris_b
10 full backs and a goalie.
OliverBlackman
I think it’d be a back to bassics 4-4-2. After all Jaco and Jameson got by with 4.
JJTee
I’m going to put together a UK v US team at some point. All based on bass playing ability, rather than any athletic or football ability, obviously!
Davebassics
James Jamerson - deep lying playmaker
joseb84
As no one has posted a whole team yet, here's my offering... a well balanced 433 with the flash guys up front, and a mix of experience and (relative) youth. Hooky Bruce - Woostenhulme - Trewavas - Rourke Clarke - Macca - Shulman Flea - Entwhistle - Jaco
JJTee
Ok, here’s my stab at a GB v US team. GB more high energy, workmanlike; US, a bit more flare perhaps? 4-4-2: Alex James Burnel Wolstenhome Jones Lemmy Deacon Foxton Macca King Palladino Enthwistle V Collins Jaco Clarke Jamerson Prestia Flea East Edwards Burton Graham Dirnt Edited March 13, 2021 by JJTee
joseb84
Predictions ahead of this afternoon's fixtures? Most games I see these days tend to end up 4-4 or 6-
