Some quality stuff there mate, have you considered upgrading your patch leads? You will be surprised at the difference some quality cables can make to your tone!

I have! What would you recommend?

Been looking at the George Ls kit, but reviews seem to vary!...

Korg PB -> Fuzzrocious Rat King -> Boss LMB-3 all on a PT Nano that was delivered 90 mins ago :D

Excellent! I've been wondering how my Demon King would fit on a Nano, I have the Pitchblack too so this gives me a good idea!

Hopefully I'll have a new one to post here soon ;)

My latest board, on a PT2 powered by Gigrig and cables with George L and a couple of neutrik/vandamme cables.

Wonderlove (Phat Phuk > OC-2 > Oxide) > Xerograph (controlled by EP-2) > Polytope > Nimbus > B7K

Loving it, and should be adding a Microtubes vintage in the near future!

Ooft! Nice gear man, hope the Phat Phuk is working out for you :)

This is lovely. The Iron Ether layout is incredible in itself!

I've emailed Aguilar to ask if the Tone Hammer 500 has a HPF. If so I can remove the Thumpinator from the board which would leave me room to do this:

I helped out some friends get some metal bass tones last night and I fell in love with the TFR (as did everyone else, especially with the B7K). I'm going to do a gig tonight without tweeters and see if I can get it to work in the mix. For tonight my setup is as such:

(I haven't fully gotten to grips with the B7K but I've managed to get a nice, low gain, growly tone out of it which isn't as warm as the BB but would serve the purpose of filling the bass out when our guitarist solos... I'll let you know how it goes.)

I'm also going to try the TFR with lower gain tonight.

That's what she said ;)

(sorry Ian, couldn't resist)

That's vanilla compared to my work colleague's frequent comments! They're playing 'finish the sentence' which starts "Ian'll...". Oh the fun...

I use the Diago Patchfactory. The jack plugs are really small (11mm), and they're very easy to make cables with. Even I can do it! I was able to fit an extra pedal on my board thanks to these little guys

Aguilar got back to me. They're going to look into it and get in touch on Tuesday due to the long weekend.

Unfortunately I can't mount the Thumpinator underneath as there's not enough clearance from the floor but it could be fixed if I put some big feet on it.

Would it fit above the BB, mounted on the "wall" of the mini?

This is a little older version of my board, with a Roger Linn Adrenalinn3

This is the new version :) Midi EQ, Reverb, FEA Dual-Band (now for sale)

The newest version will come soon :)

I could mount it down the back of the mini but I don't really like to put strain on the George Ls (a poorly made one crapped out on me at a gig YEARS ago and I've been paranoid of them losing connection ever since).

I can get the TFR to work for my current groups but I definitely prefer the BB as everything I'm playing is too polite to warrant some mean-ass fuzz.

Been a while since I posted a few pics.

The HUGE board has been stripped and is currently acting as a coffee table in the studio. I have a new live electronica project on the go (live bass & electronics as a 2-piece) and this is my much reduced set up that I'm using for it...

Bass ->
TC Polytune Mini ->
* (GigRig QuarterMaster 4 Input) *
COG Effects Custom Meat Grinder Fuzz ->
Subdecay Prometheus ->
Eventide PitchFactor (with EB VP Jr) ->
Moogerfooger Low Pass Filter (with MP-201) ->
* (GigRig QuarterMaster 4 Output) *
TC Nova Delay iB Mod - >
Amp

All housed in a Diago Showman (other than the delay) and powered by a GigRig Modeular Power Supply. There is a MIDI Splitter in the top corner too which delivers a MIDI Clock from the electronics to sync the LFO's of my MP-201 and crazy effects in the Eventide.

Sounds HUGE!!!
