GreeneKing Posted January 13, 2015 Share Posted January 13, 2015 (edited) Like a New Bass Day but a New Bass Ray I've not so far as I can remember ever played a Musician Stingray (I've picked up a couple and noodled acoustically) so when I found myself in Promenade Music with an hour to kill it was one of several that I picked up. I also tried a Mexican Fender Dimension and the Stingray was all that the Dimension wasn't in my opinion. Suitably woo'd and with too many basses (10) a new house and 5 basses tucked away in the loft I returned to Morecambe armed with 3 and a good offer on the price of the Ray from Gary the bass guy. Deal done I now have a very stunning Ltd. Ed. rosewood necked 3EQ Stingray to stand alongside Rita my orange Sterling. Dead chuffed. Compared with my ACGs she's a walk on the wild side, it good to have variety. I changed the strings to D'Addario nickels today. With DR Sunbeams they have to be my 'strings to go'.
