I've got a 1x15 300w combo + 4x10 300w combo Can I run both of these at the same time? Should I? If so, how? Line out? Tuner out? DI out? How does it work? Will I end up blowing myself up?? flyfisher Posted April 18, 2013 Share Posted April 18, 2013 I can't see any particular problem if that's what you want to do. Avoid the DI output though because that's usually balanced and amp inputs are usually not. I'd take the line out of one combo into the active input of the other. [/quote] Experiment & try stacking them, but I would think having 2 different sounding combos with different sized drivers stacked might present tonal issues. Though you could have them both set up completely different from one another, with one handling the lows & the other the mids & up (though this also might take a bit of setting up too). Having one each side of the stage would give you a broader range across the audience. I was having too much fun with the strings and pedals! The 115 sits on the 410 cos I fitted castors on the 410.. Makes sense really, it's the heavier of the two and is larger.. I will have a play around and swap the EQ around and see what works better... The 4x10 doesn't IMO cover the lows very well compared to the 115... The 410 is more punchy but doesn't flap the same way as the 115. Another config I might try is clean+dirty rather than the chain.. Which one would be better for the clean? The 115? Works well and leaves lots of room for really full tones with the added plus of being able to add effects or distortion where they'll be heard and not mess up a clean low end. Beer of the Bass Posted May 14, 2013 Share Posted May 14, 2013 If you were going to run those two combos in a clean/dirty setup, I'd use the 1x15" for the dirty side. Not so much because of the speaker diameter, but because it doesn't have a tweeter and the 4x10" does. Tweeters and distortion don't go well together IMO.
