Edited to show a different perspective.

Edited to take my words out of context? Surely you've got something up your sleeve a bit better than that! We're not talking about cars here, although I suspect if you wanted a more apt car manufacturer you might have picked Ford.

I agree they feel and sound awful, but the 4001 looks gorgeous - not in sunburst of course (twatglo I think it's called), but the white ones and the black ones look ace. I would buy one to hang on the wall if it was cheap. But they are stupidly expensive and not that well made. My mate collects them and the guitars really are horrendous to behold.

I always thought that too but even after being offered a good one at a very good price and at a time I had a few bob to spare on a sure fire investment I still sent it back :)

So, it`s quite obvious that people who think they are making state of the art instruments for the discerning ultra muso, are in fact old hippies with f*** all left to do to justify their outdated belief system than to collect driftwood from a beach in Goa and add loads of crap hardware to it and claim it`s a dragon bass.
I mean.
f*** the f*** off.
Where`s the technological breakthroughs, the gleaming carbon finish, the self tuning temperature sensing tone adjusting variable scale super bass?
Damn hippies can`t be trusted.
Get Steve jobs on it.
Ahh sh*t.

I've never seen a Warwick bass I liked the look of...

Same here.
The Streamer is OK, but the design looks far better on a Spector where it belongs.
The Corvette is the ugliest bass shape of all time IMO. Absolutely f***ing disgraceful.

The reason is that it has 5 strings :)

Nail on the head! I knew there was something was odd about it :)
:)

Edit: Just remembered I'm sat next to a 5-string Warwick. Darn it.
