just a bit of fun, but there are many amazing Bass guitar shops in the world... but if you had 20 G's, (like you do) where would you go to spend your scratch

For me it would be the Bass Central in Florida... my god they have a selection of electric basses!! endless MusicMans..the SR5 page goes on and on.. Never mind the Ken Smiths..!! Oh and the Fender stock...Oh and the Zons!!..the list goes on..

my tongue would be on the floor if i walked into that place.... The Low End shop would be nice too

then again Bass Direct wouldnt go a miss

the Contrabass shop. Would buy me one super nice double bass, and they've got a crazy amount to choose from. Although think i'd save a bit for an amp to go with, for which I'd probably pop to the bass gallery.
What bass could possibly cost 20k?
Well I could easily spend £10k+ with Jens Ritter if I had it :)
& his basses go up to £250k.

I'd have one of these made (if £20k was enough) & if there's any spare, I'd get another cab....
There is no bass shop in existence with an esoteric and diverse enough range to satisfy me.

I'd rather spend my £20k directly with the luthiers of my choice.
Ok.
Name the names, then.
If only so we an all go and have a look at their sites....

For me it'd be maybe 2 basses from Jon Shuker, I'd buy myself a decent amp (no idea what, I literally know nothing about amps, but I wouldn't spend more than £1500 on it), so that'd come to maybe £4500? I wouldn't spend the rest on bass gear. I reckon I'd spend £2000 on sword fencing stuff, and other than that I don't know what I'd spend it on! Beer and skittles probably.

Like many others here I have already made a good dent in a real £20k :) You only live once though so if I had another £20K I would be after a new ClassicRay 5 and an as early as possible 76' pre EB Ray to start with. Another Genz-Benz 2x12 neoxT cab and a suitable 2 ohm handling head to run both as a 2ohm 1200 watt 4x12 twin horn mother fecka! A pre CBS P and a nice early 70's Jazz.....I think I'm spent up?
