There's some nice little touches on that bass (the ebony line between the body and facing) but they're completely ruined by a gaudy design completely devoid of class.

If he had someone to rein him in then i reckon he could produce a stunning bass. Without all the 'orrible inlays that one's actually a bit ACGish to my eyes.

Looks nicely made I suppose. Really don't get the singlecut thing - it's like someone thought, this massive spinemangling coffe-table just isn't heavy enough.

The inlay looks queasily like someone was just so thrilled by the whole thing they, er... had a crisis all over it. And having thought that, I just can't unsee it. :)

I believe the theory is that neck/body vibration transmission is enhanced... something like that any way! :)

"One of the advantages of this design is that the fingerboard and neck is kept rigidly flat and true from the 12th fret up, the neck relieves between the nut and 12th fret only, making it easy to achieve to correct setup."

Am I the only one that thinks it looks quite nice? :) SC basses can often look very plain along the top "horn", this breaks it up a bit.

It looks good up close, from a bit further away I could imagine it does look a bit like someone got a little too excited though. I don't know why people insist on so much detail in inlays or paint jobs in instruments, as soon as they're at a gig, they're moving about or people are too far away to see the intricate detail anyway.
