I take it you have posted a similar thread on Talkbass...I would guess many more Americans would be interested in this.

I keep my one in a laptop bag. It is spotless after lots of use. There is a padded insert that's supposed to be used to slide a laptop into but it fits the Streamliner perfectly. I also carry my cables and spare strings in it.

I use the aux in and headphone out on my Streamliner all the time. Sound quality is great. Has an effects loop too.

Fender P bass --- Snark tuner -- Seymour Duncan Studio Compressor (for pick playing songs) -- EHX Bass Soul Food -- Boss BF2 -- Genz Streamliner 600 -- Genz Focus 210. Same set up all the time and the Soul Food always on.

Is it an early Ibanez Roadstar or something?! Serial number is laid out the same as mine!

This is good timing. Just found my Van Halen tshirt from 93 this morning so am wearing that. Even better, I skived school that day to get the bus from Edinburgh to Burmingham for the gig, ran quick, got to the front row and was right in front of Michael Anthony all night. He opened a can of Hieneken, took one slug and gave it to me. I cherished thy beat up beer can for years but one year my mum threw it out when she was clearing out her attic! Couldn't believe it. It was my favourite posession!

Get a Febder Aerodyne. A bit more expensive than a new pickup but then you'll have two bass guitars and he aerodyne will do P and J.

What exactly is it that is so poor about them? I tried a few fender P basses when I bought mine and none of them came across as second rate. Sure, I had preferences, but we all do.
