1. Going to see Steve tonight in islington. That is all
2. My current pubby rock band board. Rehearsing at the mo, and trying to fun the right drive sounds!
3. I really enjoyed last train home by Andy summers, and life by Keith Richards. Lemmys was very good, as was the cliff burton book written by the editor of bgm ( if only bgm was as good!) The rudy Sarzo book- off the rails, which deals with rudys time with randy rhoads was excellent. I'd love to read the rest of rudys life story though. I also really enjoyed kiss and make up and sex money kiss both by gene simmons
4. If it is just a 5th up ( I'm no tool fan- never really listened to them!) there is the boss ps6 which could be set to gliss to a fifth up or down at the press of the switch. Iirc the whammy 4 will do a fifth move as a harmony, but a slide would have to be done by ear on the octave slide setting
5. Some interest already in what remains. And bump
6. I have a tu2, pitchblack, and polytune mini The only thing the poly mini doesn't support with regard to bass is the polyphonic tuning. Single string stuff is still perfect. I use this one for my function and pub bands For one of my bands I use the pitchblack, as it has a courtesy 9v out, and I can use that for an extra pedal The tu2 is my back up. Still a great tuner though
7. Sold Graeme a Mooer pedal. I could not have asked for an easier deal. A thoroughly nice chap too. Cheers mate
8. Sold Ian a micro q tron. Nice easy deal. Great communication, and a thoroughly nice chap too Cheers
9. Rest well Clive. Thank you
10.
This is my gigging board..... The qtron won't be going on it as my band has little use for a filter in it's sound. The qtron I bought as a toy if I like it and get the hang of using it [and the others like it and we write some songs that are enhanced by using it] it will stay off the board The band i am in gig a 2hr+ set of sel penned songs going back over the last 30 years which the punters know well from the many albums recorded. A qtron just isn't going to do anything for the bass on those.
Fair enough mate. Enjoy
11. So the qtron hasn't made it to the board yet?
12. Sold Rich a bottom feeder. Easy swift transaction. Deal with confidence Cheers Rich
13. Hi defo. Interesting board. Is that a g bone?
14. Iommi Jon lord Randy rhoads Tom morello ( in audioslave) Gary Moore
15. I saw him at a show about 25 years ago. An amazing musician, with an amazing band. Got to meet him afterwards, and was struck with what a down to earth nice guy he was. I was about 15 at the time and he was so inspiring musically and personally
16. I have a fecker pretender bass logo on one I've assembled myself. I also have a bass I've assembled that had a fender logo on the headstock when I bought it. It has been mistaken for a '76 in the past. I did confess though but was told I'd done a good job!
17. Only the distortion side of the m80 is a bit metally. The normal side has loads of options and eq available should you need it as well as the colour switch which will scoop the mids. The behringer mentioned above is definitely worth checking out, especially of you like the sound of ampeg. I've used lots of di / pres over the years for this exact purpose, and always come back to the mxr.
