1. they seem to have stopped stocking them since i last ordered them. i can find the other way round - ie stereo socket to mono plug (av17285), and mono 1/4" to stereo 3.5" (av 17274) but alas not the exact match - Sorry
2. i own an oc2, dod octoplus, ebs octabass, MXR bod. They all have their own foibles and features. the oc 2 doesn't often come out, as i find the tracking a little iffy, but equally love the sound octoplus - my go to octave for ages, the only one i found with a tone control for the odctave ( others use switches for setting the range of the octaved note), great warm sound, set well, it will track really well. EBS - really clean sound, can get synthy using the switching options, but i found it too clean for my current needs. I'm sure it will return for other projects. it terms of sound, think Earth Song by michael Jackson MXR - Love this pedal. Has the gritty sound of the oc2 available as the Growl control, and seemingly cleaner option with the girth knob. it's great to mix these two distinct voices together to create anything from subtle thickening to almighty God like walls of massive. Size wise it's awesome (although similar size to the ebs). Has a mid boost switch which really helps in a band mix too I've also spent time with the EHX octave multiplexer. Sound great sounds to be discovered here. well priced, has a great vintage-y vibe to it. well worth the relatively meagre asking price IMO. As always try before you buy hope all this lot helps
3. where did you get yours from?
4. the hills guys IIRC generally tend to use MM or Jazz. I seem to remember Tobias (waaaaay Back), and the occasional P. just try as much as you can and just find something that suits you and has a good, solid fundamental tone.
5. does it do the brown sound? i saw this last night and nearly spat my tea over the computer! I knew it was created as a joke, but i wasn't aware that it actualy worked! if i had the cash i'd have it!!!

8. dbs 7200 and mbc410 cabs here it's the sound i've always heard in my head you won't get me playing anything else with my band!
9. Boss CEB3 - can get pretty subtle, easy to find s/h on here less than £50 my fave - MXR Black Label Chorus - all analogue, as thick as you want it, and around £79 new.
10. theosd, he sorted my fender 300 watt monster (ss) so yes!
11. i don't think about it. i've spent a lot of time making sure my attack is the same with either fingers 1 or 2, so i don't have to worry
12. ^ not yet anyway! i wonder how they would sell a big muff?!
13. say no more... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...ME:B:SS:GB:1123 is it rack mounted?
14. an ab box? two lines in (a and , one line out, using either a OR b ?
15. Might be worth looking at the preamp/ di pedals out there not only a di but a useful solution if your rig dies mid gig, or if you want to do what geddy used to do and totally discard the big amp in favour of a sansamp pre/di. Leading candidates are mxr m80, sansamp bddi, aguilar tone hammer, hartke vxl and the behringer knock offs.
16. bought a multi way hardcase type stand from ben - a totally easy and straightforward transaction Collected it from him would happily deal with him again
17. practically giving it away at that price - if i had the folding i'd be all over it!
