  1. i have one - a great pedal, loads of options for sub drones, self accompaniment (no that isn't a euphemism!) etc etc etc If you can make it work for your situation you'll love it
  2. having been able to give it a bit of welly, a) there is no volume drop whatsoever, and it is so much 'sweeter' than the 90 (i have an evh p90), and just 'right'
  3. I don't think i can add anything other than what has already been said. Honesty and integrity are the keys If you're honest, the next time someone that they know is looking for a teacher your name should be near the top of the list
  4. new toys - just wow! and.... some beautiful sounds here!
  5. iirc the distribution of SD pups is through Aria. Therefore anyone that stocks aria basses should be able to order them
  6. rotos (50-110) for most of my basses. easily the most consistent set i've used. other basses have elixir, and i'm trying some Dunlops atm. over the years i've used Dadd's, elites, Fender, dr, la bella super steps, tomastik, warwick amongst others. i always come back to the rotos though
  7. IIRC it's an update of the p bass lyte.
  8. would i wear it? depends how much the gig is worth!
  9. I'm told that it's pretty much the only boss pedal not to have had the components / board change over it's production run, making each pedal identical except cosmetically
  10. highway to hell - incredibly sparse bass part!

  12. w*nking over a Victor Wooten tune? surely VW does enough of that for everyone
  13. I'm using a pork loin atm. it can do light grit really well. you'll have to play with the internal trim switches a little (a very easy thing to do!!), but there are some huge tones to be found here. the clean blend is invaluable

  18. over the years i have used a fair few wireless systems - AKG, Audio Technica, Nady Bass specific, Sennheiser. Then, as have many found here, discovered the x2 system (now rebranded as Line 6 relay g30) for me it was an absolute revelation. i get the exact sound from my bass with no issues with companding / expanding - which all analogue systems use. these can be found used for somewhere around the £120 - £130 mark (around £230 new) , and IMO and IME they are worth every penny.
  19. Steve Harris, Distortion ? Don't think so! Never!
