  1. Colour me interested in the switchblade mate. I'll Pm when I'm Back on my pc
  2. is it the nano switchblade or the older big folded metal box one?
  3. there is a bespecco one which goes for around £25 - £30 you could also use any volume pedal with a y lead (or insert lead) I use the boss volume / exp. bloody great pedal. seemingly totally bombproof too! The syb5 really comes alive with the exp. pedal.
  4. it sounds like the ehx and bod might be the ones to check out. Some pretty gnarly sounds to be discovered there! I have the bod, ebs, bsw, oc2, and dod octoplus, all of which sound great but don't always work for every situation. the ehx is on my hitlist too!
  5. we've been in this studio since june, and we've recorded nothing...... perhaps we should plug the guitars in?...
  6. This post cannot be displayed because it is in a forum which requires at least 1 post to view.
  7. I bought a headphone amp from dan. A great piece of kit, and a great person to deal with - cheers!
  8. I've been gigging two of these pretty heavily for over 18 months now - bloody great cabs for the money! At this price i'm tempted myself, but i couldn't justify it to the wife!!
  9. it's definitely full scale though. for that kind of money, it's gotta be worth it as a project
  10. one of my students has one - after a little tweaking, quite a satisfactory instrument. It ain't gonna set the world on fire, ut it's functional and plays satisfactorily (if that's a word!) not bad for the money
  11. hiya, is this still for sale?
  12. it works really well with bass on some modes but not so well on others. The harmony setting is ok, but due to the low frequencies, it seems to struggle tracking wise. The pitchshifter set for a chorussy type thing sounds great, although perhaps a little digital - might be what you're looking for! It also has a wet/dry blend on the pitch shift mode, so that opens some possibilities too Where it shines for me is with the s bend mode. 3 octaves down and 4 up available. variable rise and fall time from almost instant jump to a slow sweep. The pedal can be totally self contained - ie you won't need an external exp pedal for the sweep, as the switch is momenary in this mode, and will hold the note you're set to reach until you release it and the pitch will return to normal according to the fall time. It sits really well in a dense band mix, and is really fun. in short, get yourself to your local boss dealer and give it a good try! If you're near London try Stompbox / Effectspowersupplies - really great guys with excellent pricing and a great range of pedals in stock! \ad (!)
  13. I've got to something similar before using either the Dist side of an MXR bass DI+, and also with a pork loin. The VT would get closest from your selection IMO
  14. i use this with an octave/ meatbox for my subby drones
  15. i have one - a great pedal, loads of options for sub drones, self accompaniment (no that isn't a euphemism!) etc etc etc If you can make it work for your situation you'll love it
  16. having been able to give it a bit of welly, a) there is no volume drop whatsoever, and it is so much 'sweeter' than the 90 (i have an evh p90), and just 'right'
