1. Another mxr fan ? The only one I haven't sent enough time with aka bought is the bass od
2. If it is capable of powering a standard boss compact pedal, then yes
3. Chriswareham- the ex toilet on the edge of the park is the tunbridge wells forum. Played there a few times too! I've played in a fair few venues where, when playing even a p bass, I've had to stand against my rig to allow access to the gents! Played at the standard too! That sofa was appalling! We refused to even use the backstage area (such as it was!)
4. Flyfisher- it seems none of them could hold either a tune or time in a bucket :-/ It's a shame Jesus couldn't save the song in the op too
5. The bass chorus has the flanger option, it will leave the low end intact while only effecting the high frequencies. The effect on light also pulses relative to the speed selected via the rate knob. This does sound like I'm sold on the bass chorus, but I'm currently using the Zakk Wylde chorus ( analog chorus with a different paint job ) on my board. I need to spend some more time with the bass chorus before I decide to jump or not
6. That's awesome. Thanks for posting dingus
7. I've had mine for a couple of months now. It is awesome! Cello esque tones and beautiful swells mmmmmmm! . For the cash it is superb vfm. I lent mine to a guitarist mate, and he bought one before he used it for an hour. Says it all I think
8. Bought some adaptors from Matt. Could not have been simpler- cheers dude!
9. It might be worth contacting marshall's service dept. they have been very helpful with me answering and solving tech issues I've had in the past.
10. Some people part out instruments, since they seem to raise more money than as a single thing
11. What a great guy. Met him at lbgs and got a pic with him. More than happy to answer questions, no matter how silly they seemed
12. Pm incoming re adaptors
13. I've been using a zoom 1201 for many years. It's been totally reliable, and sounds awesome. You can pick them up for £20-25 on evilbay.
14.
Well. there'd probably be less slapping for a start.....
Maybe not....
15. The ace of spades one and British steel are both very entertaining. I've enjoyed watching loads of these over the years. As yet I haven't seen a duff one, with the possible exception of the jay z one
16. The Japanese one - on the left is my favourite, followed by the right hand one. I wanted to get like for like comparison, hence more or less the same settings on each. The jap has more clarity in the top end, and a little more woomph to my ears. For those really observant bods out there, there is a slight difference in the lettering between the jap and Taiwan ones
17. I'm not totally sure how I ended up with this many! I'm falling in love with the sounds again
18. The 7200 will only run at a min of 4 ohms, where the 7400 does 2 ohms. It's the main reason I moved from my 7200 to the 7400.
19. Soo true rob!
20. For guitar- usually they are. The only exception being 'at the gates' type Gothenburg style metal. Bass however is a different story
21. Larry hartke's number is fairly freely available too. He seems to always be happy to talk with players. Might be worth bearing in mind
22. I'm currently running my 7400 as detailed by musky. The low end is huge from this rig. ( I'm using a pair of mbc410 cabs)
