1. Dood this is all your fault!
2. Ah right I got it, neat solution! Well, I reckon plugging one instrument each in to a single stereo channel input will work then and you were right all along. Sorry for confusing matters, I should have looked at the specifics of your mixer first.
3. I read the manual like Tim R suggested! Your mixer with the switch in the Main L+R Mon mode will add the left and right signals together and output through the left speaker out. That mean that in this mode, if you plugged two instruments in to one of the stereo channels they'd both be output through the same speaker out at the same time. For your front of house sound you're only using this channel so the short answer is that, with this desk, it should be fine, I believe. My only question is that each channel can output to one speaker each - are you daisy chaining your mains and your monitors?
4.
Hi there! Will Badass III bridge (slotted) fit American Standard 2012 Jazz? (I know Jazz has 3 holes but I'm more intrested in sapcing, holes depth etc)
Hi Marcin Yes a Badass III should fit a 2012 Jazz with no modification. The difficulty will be in actually finding a Badass III in the first place. They don't make them any more and new ones are very difficult to come by.
5.
One thing though - if the receiver is designed to sit on a pedal board, why is the display on the front and not the top?
I don't think the receiver was specifically designed to sit on the pedal board, although its size means that it can do, clearly. I sit mine on top of my amp. During a gig I think the only lights I'd be interested in would be the battery level, but even then, I'd check that beforehand anyway.
6. maybe Chris ran out of stock as we bought them all?
7. I don't have the same desk as you but have tried it before on another one with a similar setup. It worked but with both plugged in, the 'Left' instrument only came out of the left channel and likewise for the right.
8.
Used mine extensively at rehearsals over the last two weeks. The 'signal' LEDs on the receiver are now just starting to subside - think I'll deliberately run it 'dry' to see what happens.
Those are the ones that indicate battery level yes? If so, mine dropped one 'bar' after about 4 hours use.
9. I've gigged mine loads already - the battery life is pretty impressive as is the range and I have had no issues with sound quality. The only tiny issue I had was some unexpected noise when turning on the transmitter before plugging it in but that's me being an idiot more than anything. steve
10. I've an Indonesian Darryl Jones and previously had a Korean one. both were superb build quality (and I'm also a dyed-in-the-wool Fender man). The Indonesian one is slightly better quality wise although I preferred the pickups in the older one. Both are a fair way ahead of my US Fenders.
11. I knew of a bassist in a wheelchair who played a Hofner Shorty. Got on OK with it. Might be worth considering http://www.hofner-guitars.com/electric-basses/other-bass/hct-shb-bk-0.html
12.
Well I have a 2015 at present, and have had a 2010 and the width is the same, but the depth of the 2015 is much more of a handful. For reference I`ve also had a couple of 2010s, and a couple of 2011s (all part of the same series) and all were pretty much the same.
Is the width the same at all points on the neck, Lozz? Do you know how much more 'chunky' the newer ones are, out of interest?
13. I've only had one amp fail in 30 years so it can't be coincidence. How are you running it and storing it?
14. Minor point on the Roqsolid covers - they made them according to the Markbass specs online, which are wrong. I measured the combo and cab and sent them the exact sizes and mine fit perfectly. Let me know if you want the sizes. Steve
15. He says it's got the shielding plate. I didn't think the gold pick guards came with them so wouldn't that suggest a tort? When did rosewood come in, was it around that time?
16. I have this exact setup and it's fantastic. I'm sure you won't be disappointed! I can also recommend a couple of Roqsolid covers to keep them looking good. Let us know what you think of the tweeter in the combo.
17. Or also tried a power socket on a different ring? I used to have one and never had a problem. In da k I powered it just fine form a 9v supply..
18. Have you used an alternate power supply?
19. I have one - I thought the neck was more Swedish to be honest.
20. I have a Polytune Mini, Korg Pitchblack, two Korg headstock tuners and two NS micro tuners. I find myself using the NS micro exclusively now, due to it's size and I find it's very accurate.
21. As mentioned before as you're after a cab, the Markbass NY121. 12", light, with tweeter and control, solid recessed handle.
22. I'd consider the Markbass CMD121P. Smaller and lighter than the BBT500, 12" speaker and great sound.
23. Wow, I need to add this to my short scale hollow body collection! Looks fantastic.
24. Whatever did we do before tracking numbers came along to help us decide where our purchases should be by what time? Thomann will ship by another carrier IF you ask them. They have been affected by an industrial dispute at DHL and if you read DHLs German website it says that it will take a bit of time for the major distribution centres to get back to normal. Those of us waiting may have to wait a little bit more but it (and all the tracking) will sort itself out soon enough.
25. Sorry, I'm not quite understanding what it is that you're wanting to achieve, can you elaborate a bit more on your problem or maybe post some photos? If the pickups aren't parallel then it could be that the screw holes in the body when the original pickups were installed were drilled wonky, but modifying the pickguard suggest to me that the replacement pickup that was fitted wasn't the correct size or was fitted badly.
