1.

That's actually pretty damn excellent. Why must you introduce me to great new bands who tempt me to order their albums when I'm trying to be conservative with my cash?!
2. Tough one this month but just made a decision. Excellent work from all composers.
3. Loved it last night, brilliant show. Only downside was getting home after getting back to Brum - just in time to miss last buses and trains, so ended up walking thirteen miles back home rather than paying a stupid amount for a taxi Surprisingly enjoyed the Clockwork Angels material - wasn't massive on a lot of it on record but live they really made it work well.
4.
Anti climatic warning :Turned out rather well. Both couples were a lot older. Around 50 or so. We had the younger generations dancing whilst our dj had all the older ones with older songs. As they were older it was more a party for a parties sake so they weren't really bothered about the whole shared thing.
Glad it worked out well for you
5. Just looked at the setlist, they'd better keep Body Electric in it for Sunday! That's my favourite Rush song and one of the ones they've been playing on and off all tour...be gutted if I miss it. Glad you guys enjoyed them
6. Whatever it is, I've already done it. Twice. So there
7. Lots n lots of Uriah Heep. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=41Z7FIfUM3U
8. That gives me something to read on my spare nights this week Brilliant thread, glad there's plenty to get through - excellent stories in there.
9. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TKhrQhdxjI8 A profound insight into the youthful mindset, with thought-provoking lyrics and emotive music. Plus you can sing 'Sax and Violins' instead and nobody notices.
10. Congratulations me mon Glad it went well for you
11.
Dunlop plastic strap locks. Useful in an emergency. About £1.99 for two.
Plus a massive one, was just fiddling about with one of them when I saw your post. Excellent for stress relief, there's something so satisfying in playing about with them when you're bored. And I suppose they've helped once or twice with stopping my strap slipping off, too.
12. Good album but a definite departure from the previous couple of albums. Great all rounder and has some cracking tracks - very little beats Steppenwolf IMO. As an aside, the band are playing WOTEOT on tour this year - considering traveling to see it, as they're not doing anywhere local to me ¬¬
13.
Hope he never gets to play a bass again and rots in prison!
Though I imagine the other prisoners will make sure he gets it in the deep end over the next couple of years... Passengers, if you look right behind you, we have officially just crossed the line of 'Good Taste'.
14. Nerves are good, they keep you motivated to put on a good gig. Just do your best and enjoy it. So long as you've learned the parts by then you'll be sound - might be a challenge, but stick at it. And let us know how you get on
15. I'm glad my parents are into the same music that I'm into, hate to think how many b******ings I'd have received for playing Iron Maiden basslines through the evening if they weren't
16. The only bad part of listening to this month's entries was accepting how much more impressive they are than anything I could've come up with Amazing entries, two stood out by managing to get me to wiggle my keister but they were all fantastic.
17. To be remembered as something other than 'That geezer who went down the pub a bunch'. Music is one of the few things I have a genuine interest in, and when I finally kick the bucket it'd mean a lot if people - even just a couple of my closest friends - remembered the music I've had a hand in as a reflection of me.
18. Schism by Tool or For Whom the Bell Tolls by Metallica, IME. I do mostly know/see rock players though.
19.
Sub, I wish I'd have ...
Easily the best post I've read on BC in a long while. 10/10, A*, top notch.
20. Stopped wearing them when I started playing in a band; in part cos I don't really need them (they're only for when I'm focusing on things, but always kept them on out of convenience) plus it seemed more rock and roll to not wear them. These days I wouldn't care; whatever suits you best is the approach to have.
21. Never understood what so many people have against Off Topic. It can get heated at times but it's a million times more polite and interesting than the OT section of any other forum I've used.
22. A lot of Brian May's solos - not always the most exciting things but I struggle to think of a Queen song where the solo hasn't contributed and felt like an essential part of the song. Particularly Killer Queen and Crazy Little Thing Called Love.
