1. Forgot to add....its a new band, just pub regulars up for a laugh... the drummer is excellent, guitar player an ex bass player whoose still quite new to 6 strings and myself on bass. Singer TBC! ...reading this it sounds like a trainwreck already! I like all the busy stuff but we need to start walking first!
2. I see topics or threads with 'standards' but not sure what they are....is it a list of popular tunes and if so who makes the list for a given genre? thanks
3. Drums, bass and electric acoustic guitar for a simple fun band for our local, and need suggestions for funky/fun/disco songs that can carry without horns and keyboards. Problem being, I have googled for acoustic versions of my fav' raves and they are quite scare...this guy does a fair attempt on one of KC's classics though. a trumpet maybe a possibility, but best to assume not. so far le freak, kc get down tonight, young guns, brickhouse, word up. Any help welcome
4. Very interesting video, thanks. As the poster eludes to above, not the most humble person but then again when when one is that talented....reminds me a little of my old piani teacher but without the bottomless sherry glass! I wondering if her books are any good?
5. Asda smartprice furniture polish.....good stuff and pennnies to buy.

9.
It's all fun and games until some hillbilly tells you that you've got a pretty mouth...
laughed so much i squealed like a...!
10. never owned a Vintage yet but they do get a lot of love and that is a lovely looking tool
11.
That's yer classic P-with-rounds tone, that.
I must change my strings then is 12 months too soon?
12. I always thought the 'uber crunchy' bass on this song was possibly a Stingray with oodles of mid boost and some bass cut, or maybe a Jazz on solo rear pup, treble up with brand new bright strings on a hard played pick, and then I read Tord Overland Knudsen uses a P bass. Now I've had a fair few P's but never got close to a sound like this. Time for me to go back to basics and revisit Leo's original I think? 13. No, I had nothing to do with FAL but I used to like thumbing thru brochures....some other catalog names that come to mind were Wein and Eagle....I feel old!

17.
Never understood the JV prices. Crackers.
Its puzzling me too not too far off US price...and if the parts were US sourced....
18. Oliver's Army...never knew what a busy line it was...this guy nails it http://youtu.be/Z8XSDsD9C88
19. hmm, great idea but as pointed out this could both ways
20. One mail to a company, no follow up, big deal, then you flame them publicly on here, goes beyond harsh in my books. Over 2 grand to lay on a bass is big money, why not pick the phone up and talk....I run my own company and in my experience since 1995. Well the uncomfortable truth is that messor's mail, customers call. ....I reckon you should be upfront and cut them some slack, me thinks you didn't really want that bass after all
21. well 6 string cat gut.....strange what you find when one types "Something about you acoustic" into You Tube... drums, bass, guitar and sings too....I can't even whistle.
