1.
I've literally just bought this VM Precision for £120 off of eBay, it was only listed for a few minutes before I snapped it up. Well pleased! http://www.ebay.co.u...K%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
wow, missed that not too far from me....thats an early one too.... 2009?
 2.
yammie rbx4a2 just got one from bv247 its really light and comfortable on the strap 7lbs top but... has a bit of a large gap in the neck pocket and the nut could do with a file so its likely on its way back. might see if they can source another or look at the ibby sr series-never played one but seem to have an army of fans. want the weight of sound my 1024 gives with a little less physical weight
damn....thats bad news....was that bass possibly a B stock? .... how do you like the sound?
 3. No takers here guys, surely a bit of value? Destined for fleabay!
 4. 2015 thread resurrection time! I still can't nail this and every year I have a go. Had a noodle this all morning and had a copy of the Hal Leonard chords to help me over the bass tab which appeared in a mag' and I still think isn't 100% incorrect. Anyway a guy comes to view a car I have for sale later on in the morning, whilst I'm still struggling with this song and says "ohh do you play bass, I know Nick Beggs" ...turns out he works for Nicks record company and but also as things would happen remembers watching Kajagoogoo in the 80's with his mate, the only two guys in a sea of screaming girlies... says Nick is a very nice guy indeed. that's all.....it really is a small world.... latest 24/1/15 @ 14:55...yup I've finally got it, taken me years....the problem is that there are two bass lines going on at once, bass and a synth bass, somewhere in the middle is something which is we know as Too Shy....more the melody on bass I suppose.
 5. I've a RBX4 A2 full size and it's THE one bass I'll never part with, everything from Stingray's and Fender's have come and gone...super light, sustain for ever wonderful neck and build and apart from that I love the looks and being the shallow sort I like LED lights! those medium scales are rare as hen's teeth on this side of the pond, and not too many in US where A2's were more numerous. Good luck with the sale. PS this is the usual video that comes out when an A2 turns up for sale http://youtu.be/47tKorh9vgo
 6. No problem...free test drive with hot beverage and choice of biccies....I like to spoil my customers!
 7. for sale, a cheap, but not nasty Ashdown EB180 EVO II combo'! New Ashdown speaker done around 2 hour tops, it's the later version with the VU gauge on the front and inbuilt compressor. Overall it's in used, but clean, tidy and all working condition. Top fabric now edgy and fluffy. Ideal for small gigs and this one has the external speaker output for the bigger gigs. Gives a nice warm sound and packs a punch way over its size...these seem very popular up this way for pubs/clubs and also with the double bass guys...I don't play a 'doghouse', just something I've noticed? Here's the Ashdown bumpf:- Ashdown EB 12-180 EVO II Electric Blue Bass Combo packs legendary Ashdown tone into an affordable new, high-performance, high-value combo. Ashdown EB 12-180 EVO II Electric Blue delivers 180W of thumping bass through a single 12" BlueLine speaker. EB 12-180 EVO II is ideal for small to medium gigs and makes an ideal rehearsal rig. Electric Blue EB 12-180 1 x 12" combo uses a 180 Watts RMS fan-cooled fast-transient power stage, and a fully-featured bass preamplifier with inputs for both active and passive instruments, an illumunated VU meter, 5 band EQ with Bright and Deep switches, a front panel-mounted balanced DI output for connection to a PA or recording console, an FX loop, a tuner/line output and the classic Ashdown sub-harmonic generator. Consistent with its EVO II status, the EB 12-180 combo also includes a built-in compressor to provide an exceptional level of sonic control for a bass amp of this size and cost. A high-performance Ashdown BlueLine bass driver ensures exceptional attack, clarity and low-end performance, while an extension speaker output can be used to connect an additional cabinet for use in larger venues. The Ashdown EB 12-180 EVO II Electric Blue bass cabinet is finished in a tough, scuff-proof carpet covering with protective corners and a kick-proof metal grille. Sorry no deals at this price and/or trades. No postage on this one but I can deal with couriers should you wish to have it collected. Location: Banham South Norfolk cheers for looking, any questions give me a call. 10.
Market place is great but there has been a huge flux of timewasters you know the ones that PM you and say "oh Ill have that mate" only to never get back to you or the other ones who want everything thing for f*** all I mean we all love a deal but some of em on here do take the piss that could be a reason why a lot of people aint advertising the low end gear as it is not worth the hassle? I just dont know but the has been loads of serious top end gear on here of late
my messers have been more upfront calling to sort a price out and a "put it down to me" etc only to be abducted by aliens, not even answering calls back unless on another number.... some interesting excuses though some of them worthy of the Sunday Sport! also a spate of second bass's £20/£30 less than the new price but all in all (didn't Miles Axlerod invent that in Cars 2?) this is still a great place to buy and sell and well worth the price.
