1.
I bought one of these B1000 P basses off ebay, as my first bass nearly two years ago. Probably from the same guy selling them @ £75 delivered. They are fantastic bases and not just for the money. I have mine in the corner of the living room so I can pick it up and noodle on whilst watching tv, so it gets a lot of regular use. Fantastic value for money.
Bloody hell Daz what were you doing posting at 3.45am? I bought a Westfield Jazz in natural finish secondhand for £60 inc. a practice amp. It's superb with a nice low action & the stock pick-ups didn't sound too bad. However I had a set of Jap '62 re-issue pick-ups (the ones with the earthing strip) so I fitted those - they went straight in. It sounds fantastic & I don't need to worry too much about damaging it or having it stolen. Compared to my Fender Jazz it sounds a little darker if you know what I mean probably due to the wood used.
 2.
Also it is against explicit rules set out in the Market Place T&Cs here. Nice bass. Hope your daughter is ok.
Doh Ou7shined beat me too it!
 3.
It's generally considered bad form on here to post comments like this.
And is actually against forum rules!!
 4. James bought my Behringer BX3000 from me, sent payment quickly, and was an all round great guy to deal with. Hope the amp does the job for you mate.

 6. Paul has just bought my Westone Thunder 1A. He paid very quickly & was an absolute pleasure to deal with. Many thanks for buying the bass mate & I hope you enjoy playing it!
 7.
My dog really does that.
Yeah mine does too!! He'll easily spend 15 minutes looking if you keep telling him to find "it", eventually he just picks up anything & brings it back (is this cruel?). Note to self - don't leave your bass lying around when playing this game.
 8.
Could do with some 'miner restorations'.
Yes when I read that I had visions of it stuck down a coal mine being struck with pickaxes hence the "miner marks".
 9.
Ta, amusing questions have been answered and put up for all to see, non-amusing questions have been derided by me and the wife, and deleted (well, answered nicely, just not put up, need the space for the amusing ones) Can't believe you lot are actually bidding....
I spat my tea out over your "dog that faithfully runs after stick" answer - which is a bit unfortunate as I'm at work at the moment, people are giving me funny looks & I've now got to clean my keyboard.
 10.
Why does no-one ever mention Mark King or Flea? Another vote for Dennis Dunaway from me, plus Trevor Bolder, the Spiders from Mars bassist. I'll also add Jim Lea of Slade.
Great to see Jim Lea mentioned, he's a fantastic melodic player & my all time favourite, also good to see someone else appreciates Trevor Bolder & Mark King. Roger Glover is another great who rarely gets a mention along with Phil Lynott (who always lacked confidence in himself). Colin Greenwood of Radiohead is also very good.

 12.
Late 70s really heavy, cheapo copies iirc. Having said that, a lot of 70s copies were better than present day copies, so might not be all that bad, might be good as a project, They really fetching £1100 ?
No - more like £2,000 these days! Highly sought after! whoops sorry too many noughts £2 thats better.
 13. Bought a Samson Airline wireless kit from Paul. It was exactly as described & was very well packed. It was a pleasure doing business with him. Thanks Paul for a nice easy transaction.
 14.
Need some help. Got a mate who is selling one of these Westone Thunder IAs. http://www.ebay.co.u...=item4cfa48c645 Firstly, do you think the price of £150 is fair? This one is a bit of a project (needs new strings and a new input) but apart from that it's exactly the same. It actually feels like a real quality bass (I'm almost tempted myself just to have an active!). Any help on price recommendations is really appreciated you Japcrap Gods.
Westone Thunders are very good basses, I have one of the earlier 1A models with the split precision type pick up. If it is exactly the same as the one on eBay your mate has the later version 3 model with the Magnabass pick up. You can get more information on Westone basses here: http://www.westone.info/indexthunderbass.html As for the value, they have risen in price lately. I've seen 1A's go for between £80 & £200 it really depends on the condition it's in & I've not seen as many of the later versions for sale. You also need to be sure that it is definitely the input at fault not the active electronics. There are currently two other 1A's on eBay, both with BIN of £195.

 16. That looks very like my early 90's Indian built Encore. The string tree is exactly the same, similar body shape, the control knob spacing, the naturally aged pick-up covers & the no-skunk stripe neck. Mine is one of the limited edition pearlescent white ones & has a solid ash body. Not bad basses at all & certainly much better than later Encores. If it is one of those, as long as it has no major defects it's got to be worth a punt at £65. I think there are some old Encore fans on here who would be able to confirm whether it is or not. The only thing that makes me wonder if it is an Encore is the truss rod adjustment on mine is at the headstock end of the neck & I can't tell from the pics of this one whether it's there or not.
 17. Bought an Eminence speaker from Chris. He's a top guy & pleasure to deal with, very flexible & helpful. Many thanks Chris - sorry we didn't get to meet!
 18.
I like the middle finger salute in the finish on the top horn, and the bridge lloks like an XR3i spoiler....
Which you would probably be better off using!!

 20. I don't know - some of the feedback comments look typically moronic to me.
