I have sent a lot of stuff recently using Parcelmonkey - they mainly use City Link but they offer their own independant insurance at the cost of £1 per £100 insured - not sure if they offer it unless you take their courier service or not though. Everything has been delivered very quickly and with no problems so far and I've posted a lot of stuff using them.

Funniest things people say when selling their gear
Delberthot replied to ianrunci's topic in General Discussion
I don't suppose you'd sell much if you advertised a bass as having a tree trunk neck, sh*t sound and cost £100 but selling it for £200. I have been known to be guilty of witholding the last one but not on here. or how about an amp that sounds like Barry White's first dump of the day hitting the pan amplified through a tuba at the bottom of the ocean? Clear as mud and easily overpowered by the bell off a bicycle. But that's no way to talk about Ashdown  byee -
don't remember the last time I was on the Rickresource or EBMM forums - wonder if they miss me?

I would define my trace V-type combo as very old school sounding. I replaced it with an Orange Terror bass amp which I found to be a bit darker and a lot dirtier. Just sold the Orange to buy my first ever all valve amp as I can't resist that snake oil any longer. Hmmm snake oil ^_^

I've removed all the unnecessary posts to make it easier to read. I'd much prefer a straight sale but am willing to take a trade on the understanding I will probably sell whatever I get as a trade I'm going to use my 2x15" cab for one gig and this one for another this weekend and may very well either end up keeping both or may change my mind and sell the 2x15" Who knows? I certainly don't

did someone say 4x12"? A monster cab. I am selling mine but its a pity you're so far away or you could've tried it out. 800w @ 8ohms There's more details in the for sale section I notice you live in Brid, we come down to Filey every couple of years but probably won't be down until next year.

MY EYES Somewhere in the tip there is a bare deckchair frame

it depends how much it bothers you about having the right bass I played a black Stingray 5 string in my Sabbath tribute band and a Sonic blue fretless 5 string T-bass in my Rainbow one It depends on how much use you are going to get out of it - you could always buy a cheapy and a set of decent pickups that you could remove if you sell the bass on.

I found the Chrome ones gave me a more aggresive tone

and why do they quote Euros instead of pounds? Also poor English and Western Union specified
Where's Jaco when you need him...
Jaco who? I'm a huge Chilis fan and have just renewed my interest in Level 42. The answer is neither is better. They are both good, in fact they are both amazing players. I'm better than both of them though. Not sure how you'd measure it but I just am I am a legend in my own lunch time. I am of course kidding - when I was growing up the head honcho was Nathan East. Michael who?
When you say this is not an original do you mean pre-ernie ball or something else. I'm interest in this bass so any pointers might help Cheers

Early 90s maple necked 2eq stingray 4 string in black with the seymour duncan pickup upgrade (well worth it imho). Neck is straight and it plays like a dream, although it has harldly been touched in two years now, so could do with a bit of a set up! Neck has been looked after and has aged beutifully, lovely and silky to play. It has a few dings and scratchs, as you'd expect from 20 years of use! Photos show my reflection (what an idiot!) and I shall take some more this evening along with some of the whole bass and neck!
As far as new stuff goes you're looking at Squier Bronco, Fender Mustang, Epiphone EB-0 and Gibson SG. Old stuff includes the Mustang, Gibson EB-0 and Fender Musicmaster. I also have a MkV AH150 - phenomenal amps. Why do you want a 2x10"? the general consus is to match speaker sizes. I have a multistack 1152 which is a 15" cab that came out at the same time as the Mk V Trace stuff which may be useful to you. It can be used as a monitor as it is wedge shaped. its the cab in my avatar. I'm in 2 minds whether or not to keep it. If you're young, like Trace and your mind hasn't been poisoned by the lure of light weight, low bottom end bass rigs then I also have a 4x12" cab for sale

How does a Trace Bright Box Work Impedence wise?
Delberthot replied to Delberthot's topic in Amps and Cabs
Fantastic - thanks for that. So if it all goes up in a ploom of smoke then I can blame Trace Elliot cos they said it was alright? -
I'm about to take delivery of some nice old Trace items but there's one thing I've never been able to work out or find an answer to- If I am running an amp that is designed to go down to 4 ohms with either 2 8 ohm speakers or 1 4ohm one, how is it possible then to be able to add a Trace Bright Box or 4052h without melting the amp? I know that you can but I don't understand the technicallities of it. It took me long enough to get to grips with ohms so can't work out why I am able to add another speaker box without doing harm to my amp.

I can be found mainly here. I sometimes frequent the american one when I want to noise up the Jaco fans by telling them he was rubbish. Nothing gets the flames burning quicker. I only tend to be on the Musicman one when I have a Musicman and ditto for the Rickresource but I've had neither for a while. Guaranteed if I spent an hour on either I'd have one by the end of the week.
