  1. Is there a notification that can be enabled for when one is following an item for sale that lets you know when it's been sold/withdrawn? A couple of times I've thought to save for something and followed it, but then when I've had the money I've gone to search for it again (and that's a faff in itself as you can't have a following filter for for-sale items) it's been sold.
  2. Alex doesn't strike me as the sort of person who'd just add one in willy nilly, I suspect he'll have done a fair amount of tinkering to get it to be worthwhile adding to the range.
  3. DVLA have regular meetings to weed out potentially rude number plates so they'll never be issued.
  4. Well, that was awful. Were the lyrics written by Chat GPT?
  5. Leaving the union flag in green? Not sure that would go down well in certain parts.
  6. White and green says more Nigeria than Ireland to me. Not a fan either way.
  7. Used the new ABM at rehearsal on Sunday and got lots of positive feedback from the band. I take this as proof positive that I've found my setup.
  8. The only thing I've ever achieved by boiling strings is ruining a saucepan.
  9. I did find it amusing that Ian from SBL basically had to apologise for them discussing metal basslines while playing some boutique nonsense (an F Bass and a Wal from what I remember).
  10. Probably a good plan, especially where my wife grew up they're known as "circle jerk" 🤣
  11. Aren't Circle K a convenience store chain?
  12. OMG. As much of a bargain as this is, and as much as I need/want this, I'm still paying off my last amp purchase. GLWTS!
  13. I believe there's a certain chap from Liverpool does this. Can't quite remember his name though. McCar-something. Here's the scruffy oik playing them on a rooftop of all places!
  14. Cracking band. I can't remember how I came across them but I'm very happy I did.
  15. I've had a very brief play with the compressor on my ABM and can't say I was that impressed, and also found that the volume was reduced. I think I'll stick to my pedal compressor unless I'm pedalless for any reason.
  16. I think this is what's known as utter cobblers. Technical term, obviously.
  17. Same, it all sounds a bit sketchy
  18. That's certainly one way of looking at what she's doing...
  19. Penny-pinching most like, and an egregious case of false advertising. Regardless of the fact that you've already replaced the speaker I'd still be contacting Ashdown and the retailer to complain that you've been sold a pup.
  20. Same, don't make me regret my recent purchase!
  21. Give Up The Funk (Tear The Roof Off The Sucker) - Parliament
  22. Laney started out as a bass amp manufacturer, I believe. I was considering getting the Digbeth DB-500H before I got my Ashdown as they sound awesome, so that could be worth you checking out.
  23. If you're not looking to use it to practice with others then it's not strictly necessary to have a decent sounding one, although I concede that it makes the whole practising experience a lot nicer. I've moved pretty much exclusively to practising through headphones these days, but I occasionally get my little (but very heavy) Trace Elliot combo out to annoy the neighbours. Honestly, any of the other major manufacturers (Ampeg, Ashdown, Hartke, GK, etc.) will give you something different to play with, so if you can get to a reasonably large shop you could take three or four in and try them out.
