  1. It's in the post mate 😎
  2. I don't know why - in these ' strings for a P-bass' topics - nobody ever mentions neck size/nut width? Personally I find heavier gauge strings suit them big'ol necks and lighter on the slimmer. Does nobody agree?
  3. 6'4" Old School on a good day or 1.93 metrical.
  4. As suggested above - a few quid spent on a simple plug in mains tester could save lives. If any pub or other venue has dodgy mains wiring they shouldn't be in business! Needs sorting urgently.
  5. Yes 😎
  6. Makes you wonder why anybody ever bought one 😎😃
  7. Yep, when I got my LB30 with custom 112 cab, I felt there was more to give and fortunately got hold of a 48, same frontal size as the 112. Ashdown kindly provided the grill cloth badge and beading to match the new 112, the rest is history. Fab cab indeed, I believe Mark Gooday has said 'the best cab they ever made'!
  8. I have some WD Tort on a P and it's very very good, best tort I've seen, IMO worth the extra 😎
  9. Paul ordered a P loom, great comms and instant payment = perfect transaction, a pleasure to deal with. Cheerz, John
  10. Well I've never seen a more stupid way of fitting a cap.! If the long leg, earth side of that cap. ain't touching the 'unused' tag on the tone pot when fiited to the scratch plate, I don't know! Should have gone to specsavers
  11. I have always cleaned new string before fitting, a cotton pad with surgical spirits gets all the crap off and leaves you with lovely clean shiny new strings 😊
  12. So many of the above and Guns'n Roses Sweet child of mine
  13. Jimmy Hendrix Little wing, solo especially, best played on guitar tune ever!
  14. This is worth reading - https://www.notreble.com/buzz/2015/04/15/solving-bass-hum-problems-grounding-vs-shielding/
  15. They are CTS Mini pots BTW not Bourns. Cheerz, John
  16. I have a Gherson Jazz bass, natural blond, I'm told they were only made in 1973. Long story short - '73 I went to that London determined to buy a Rick but every one I tried was NFG. When shown and played the Gherson I fell in love on the spot. It served me well for many gigs over many years.
  17. Cheers @ped Maybe good for bigger items but no good for wiring kits 😒 or small parcels, bottom line is 34.99 euros, so not for 'low value' items. John
  18. Fresh from the fryer - made while you wait 😃
  19. Same applies if any thing touches the shielding paint.
  20. Any P pup will do, it's the fingers that matter 😎
  21. 22. Tried to watch - but once Kaz saw Victor Meldrew singing old PSB hits we had to turn it off 😍
