1. I absolutely love these due to the Jack Bruce sound, and would have bitten your arm off for this not too long ago before I bought my Les Paul bass. Have a free bump though for a very pretty old thing!
2. Only 5lbs less than my SVT 610... blimey... not a lot of difference at all! I probably would have gone for this had I not bought the 610 in the meantime... have a free bump tho
3. When I use a plectrum I just steal my guitarists ones.
4. How the hell have they managed to put that price on it? Far far far too cheap! I paid considerably more for mine
5. Bump for this one - nearly been a month now and some interest but nowt concrete... so.. BUMP
6. The nice men at Audio Loudspeakers have fixed a few of my pieces of kit over the years - they used to also repair amps as well! Very trustworthy chaps
7. why would anyone want to sell one of these beautiful things??? Good luck with the sale... if thats what you end up doing!

9. And its now sold sold SOLD! Ta all.
10. I would dearly love that SVP... but I cant afford it at all after recent GAS attacks and buying a brand new cab. Have a free bump though while I have a little weep that im going to miss out on this.

15. I would love to have tried one of these out with a nice sounding Trace Cab. Something like, hmmm, i dunno.... http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=50144 hehe. Have a free BUMP
16. Possibly the most concise reply to anything, ever! Brilliant :-)
17. Weekend bump for this - surprised no offers yet considering the recent Series 6 love-fest that has been happening on the forums!?
18. The singer in my band used to be a bassist many moons ago and he has a '75 P Bass, which I use every now and then because its fantastic. It's one of the few basses I think actually gets better everytime I play it. Really great tone to it... particularly when I put it through his old Sound City valve amp!
19. Just to confirm (as I have been asked a couple of times now) this is a USA built cab - as stated on the backplate of the thing itself.
20. +1 to the Guinness approach. Although I found that having three bottles of Newky Brown on stage last week was rather pleasant.
21. I think my routine is very similar to gafbass's - set up quickly then drink and smoke. Talk to the audience etc...
22. Thank you all for the nice bumpage ;-) It is a bright sounding thing but you do get a fair bit of OOMPH from that 15". As far as im aware it has spent all its time in Norfolk, and is has not been connected to sprouts (Prefab or otherwise)
23. Me again... continuing the clearout of cabs from my (small) house! After I recently acquired my dream cab I finally had to take heed of the missus and agree that we are runing out of space for large bass cabs in my dinky terrace house. So, it is with a heavy heart, a lack of space under the stairs, a feeling of nostalgia (and a need to raise a few quid after aforementioned purchase) that im putting this cab up for sale. This baby has done more gigs for me than anything else ive ever owned - its been with me ever since I moved on from combos. I used to use it with a 2x10 ADD cab on top, and that combination seemed to work really well with my Trace 300w head. The cab itself is rated at 300w, 8ohm and has a big phat 15" and a 10" cone in it. There is lots of interesting techy nerdy stuff that's way over my head about these and Bi-amping etc etc at http://www.britishaudioservice.com/inst/SERIES%206.pdf should that interest you. Like I say, it has seen a fair bit of action... there's a rip or two in the covering on the back, and the cover plate is gone where it used to be over the bi-amp socket connectors... but it still sounds good and does what ya need it to, its a Trace! It is quite a chunky cab as you can see from the pics and as such I dont want to be couriering / posting it etc due to its size so pickup is preferred, plus that way you dont have to worry about couriers busting it (it happens) and you can try it out bfeore you buy so you can see it works. I dont mind taking a day off work (I can easily drink coffee all day whilst waiting) if a weekday is preferable for people to come and get it. Price wise im looking at roundabout the £125 mark... or any interesting offers that dont involve more large bass cabs ;-) Cheers guys/gals - pics as below. Stag PS - as mentioned on my other "for sale" thread, Dood the Mod knows where I live, and see him most weeks, so buy with confidence.
24. Evening peoples... I have for sale a very nice Ampeg BSE410HLF, due to a recent cab upgrade. This is one of the carpet covered jobbies, and is in very good nick indeed and was owned previously by another Basschatter in case anyone has seen it before! It has had a recent service, and at the time of the service also has castors fitted on it to make it more portable, but you can take these off if you see fit to do so I guess. It is rated at 400w (I didnt drive it anywhere near HARD at any time) and is a 4 ohm one, so perhaps it might interest someone out there who wants to downsize their rig a little? These are going for £399 secondhand at mansons.co.uk which might be (correctly) considered to be a little steep, so im looking for £215 for this. They had two of these last week and now only have one... One other thing - I would rather the buyer picked up as its just a lot easier to deal in person, and ive never arranged for couriers for stuff before, plus it also removes the possibility of it being broken in transit - however if you want to arrange and pay for a courier I can be flexible and take a day off work drinking coffee waiting for a courier to arrive to pick it up for you. Im in Norwich (usually down the pub) . Techy Blurb : Product Description Features: Impedance: 4 ohms * Crossover frequency: 4kHz * Frequency response: 50Hz-18kHz * 400W RMS, 800W program power handling * Sensitivity: 99dB * 22-3/4"W x 25-3/4"H x 17-1/2"D * 91 lbs. Cheers! Stag PS - Dood the Mod knows where I live, and he's a lot bigger than me, so buy with confidence! lol
