1. The Norwich boys have been good to me, price matched online prices and ordered stuff in for me with no hassle. And thats back to and including from the days of it being Academy Of Sound.
2.
£120 is a steal!
Especially given the price of this... exactly the same, no? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Trace-Elliot-7210-SMC-300watt-GP7-bass-combo-/170760783331?pt=UK_MusicalInstr_Amplifiers_RL&hash=item27c222c5e3
3. I had the separate head of this for years, served me well, hundreds of gigs it did... the odd overheating issue but that was probably my fault more than the amps! Corking sound... this is one of the newer versions to mine tho. £120 is a steal!

Im loving those Grabbers! Is that Burgundy or something similar, Zydian?
5. My old Ric has aged from white to a yellowy cream... Wonder if its much to do with the places i used to play in? Ive always had nice comments about the way it looks, complete with light fag burn mark in the headstock. My two penneth on the whole smokin' thang - it should be the landlord / venue's choice if smoking is allowed or not, then its also your choice to play there or not. Being as ive been in both positions (behind the bar booking bands, and on stage with a bass) its plain to the eye that the ban has had an effect on crowd size, particuarly for the rock music i used to troll out regularly. However one should consider a number of other factors such as more expensive booze, the rise of the chain pub, the amount of cash a punter can spend on seeing a local band vs. saving up and seeing a famous one, etc).
6. How odd... Its ike a 4004 copy... Mixed with a 4003? Odd! Good price for someone tho :-)
7. Wow... Superb condition! I dont think this will be about long
8. Now then... when I was learning thar' bass as a young lad, I was bought the following book by the big man Mr Rainey : http://www.amazon.com/Complete-Electric-Bass-Player-Book/dp/0825624258 Excellent book full of tips and grooves. No tab tho, all dots... which IMO was a good thing when I had my "L" plates on Worth investigating!
9. I played Charic's one at the East Anglia Bassbash... I think he should put some piccies up!!! (Presuming he still has it) I blew some light bulbs up with it. If that isnt endorsement enough as to how fine ACG stuff is, then I dont know what is..
10. I dont normally dig Wals (my bank manager is pleased by this), or natural finish basses.... but this one is a beauty! The black hardware / PG really works IMO. Seems a good price for a Wal as well?
11. I might be late to this party, but I tried Charic's TC rig at last year's bass bash and that is the first amp ive been truly impressed with for many years. So impressive that I think ive talked myself into getting an RH450 (or Classic) and a couple of RS210's.
12. Welcome to you good sir, always good to have more Naaarfffolllk people on board! I meet up with Dan for beers and cheers everynow and then, perhaps some kind of pub / bass discussion event soon?
13. Ill happily attend with Dan and Kev again!
14. Is this Mr Veall's old beast J? Cool rig
15. Ive got a '72 Triumph and its a splendid bass. More controls than anyone actually needs, unique (particularly for the time) features like lo/hi output mode... Pase in/out selector etc. With the right EQ set up on the bass alone you can get a Precision-y sound, a middy sound, the Gibson Mud Sound... lots of options to tailor your tone. Of course, even though Gibson made these... everyone still bought Fenders!
16.
Here's Cliff with his (modified with a humbucker at the neck)
Ahhh... Awesome pic, legend! I wont be doiny any DIY "improvements" on my bass though I think he stuck a J Bass Bartolini in the bridge PU position too... Did like experimenting!
17. Why the scale down mate? Love the WHL road sign too
18.
Looks great in that colour - very Cliff Burton
cheers Clarky, that's exactly what i like to hear! :-) Fonky... Not sure what you mean buddy? This aint for sale if that's what you were after..l ;-)
19. My 4001 is weak on the E, but my 4003 is very very loud with the E. Oddness. Ive never seen a Shine take on the Ric before... Interesting
20. This is at the wrong time for me sadly. Out of curiousity, whats the difference between the Classic and the RH450?
21. Haha -cheers Dan, you know you are always welcome to come round for biscuits and tea! I think you`ll like the bass as well
22. This is a steal for an AV... Awesome cab
23. Cheers Greg, much obliged! I didnt think you were still interested in the Les Paul tbh mate...? I may move it on, dunno yet... Ive had some interest in it from a friend who lives very close to me. I haven forgotten you now though!
24. That has to go in the "cool" section on the Cool Wall. Price point is a little off though imo.
25. £400 for the best cab ive ever heard? Madness,I tell thee, madness. Someone, please buy this man's awesome cabinet. Presume this is one of the USA versions?
