  1. Lol, we did a gig like that last year. A social club with about 10 disinterested punters. At least you finished your sets, we got asked to pack up after the first set so they could put the jukebox on! Soul destroying...
  2. not sure how the signal would be picked up from the bass to your DAW without a preamp?
  3. So we are thinking of doing another run of 100 T shirts as we sold out the last lot. Colour design, complicated, I like the look of them, we are lucky that a pal is a graphic designer. So who uses who for their band Merch? Looking for the best bang for buck if possible, all suggestions most welcome, Thanks!
  4. anyone tried one of these? https://www.thomann.de/gb/harley_benton_tb_70_sbk_deluxe_series.htm
  5. These have probably saved my hearing...£60 quid used them tonight and they were fab. https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0BY6MH97W?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1
  6. I've got a VT2-EQ thingy. Its a beast of a pedal with 2 x 12ax7 valves. I loved using it but it was a bit noisy and the power socket is a bit loose so until I get it repaired it's out of use. Dave made some great pedals, very sad he passed away.
  7. Think I may have finally found a permenant set up (or at least for a good while) No rig, all into the deski via pedalboard (Laney Digbeth and zoom B1 four) and then back from the desk into a KT platform and IEM's custom Jazz with sadowsky pickups and D'addario heavy guage flats seems to complete the picture.
  8. Insure4music £57 thanks guys.
  9. Our ampband PLI renewal has come around again and gone up from £55 to £77. Not too enthusiastic about that. Any other companies offering similar for less? ps I’m not interested in joining the MU as it’s for the whole band and it’s pub gigs thanks
  10. we have used it for years. Got lots of gigs from it, even now. 1 gig from it pays for 7 or 8 years of membership. Miss the community forum but I think it got a bit ugly in the end and had to be moderated too much. TBH it also works as a diary for the upcoming gigs as much as anything and as a resource for who is playing where and nicking some slots its great!
  11. another Lekato user here, so far, 3 gigs in its been great and saved my hearing,,
  12. I fancy another set of elixir nanowebs but man they are pricey! Does anyone use another slightly less expensive set of coated strings they could recommend? Looking for zing and longevtivity. cheers!
  13. very Beck, I like it!
  14. Recorded on zoom livetrack L20 and mixed on Harrison Mixbus. Video edited in Reaper. Uploaded to our band FB page. https://www.facebook.com/jeffersonarchive/videos/864486048212218
  15. not cheap but amazing, lucky for me my drummer actually bought one for me (he's doing really well in his new business) worth a look? https://www.porteranddavies.co.uk/products/kt-platform/
  16. I promise Im not on commish for these but ive gigged them twice now as I was concerned about how my hearing was being affected my being right beside the drummers crash and snare and they have been fantastic, Everything is super clear and at a quiet level. For your singer I would deffo recommend, cheap too. https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0BY6MH97W?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1
  17. A bit of old school Zep from last week immigrant song.mp4
  18. I've got the LY-Rock, stacked Cali Rip off. Really heavy, chunky pedal, good quality knobs, cost about 70 quid, took an age to arrive. I really liked it but it seems to have developed a bit of noise so it's now stuck in the cupboard. I may return it to the pedalboard at a later date!
  19. ha ha every time I search for this band on basschat I get redirected to a blank page saying 403 forbidden? Im guessing its a dodgy spam filter or something? Anyway great band, just woindered what gear the bass player was using.
  20. our singer goes out front while we play our sondcheck song ( currently good lovin gone bad) without vocals. She tells us what needs adjusting without prejudice (she has great ears). So once thats sorted its easy for her to come back on stage and just add her vocals to the rest of the song, basically all she needs to ensure is that she is loud enough out front and thats it. Could your vocalist/front man not do the same?
  21. yep monitor mix first before FOH. Obvious one really but are the FOH speakers in front of the band? Feedback s something we never get these days so Im surprised that is still a thing. We mic up everything, guitar, bass, kick, snare, toms and overheads, the works. That we you have full control of what comes out in the monitors and FOH. The guitarist should have a sweet spot for his amp, one that doesn't mean volume on 11, then adjust his volume via monitor and FOH. When he inevitably asks for more volume in the monitor just smile and nod and pretend to raise his level, his brain will trick him into thinking its louder.
  22. used these last week, a revelation and no hearing damage at the end of the gig ( everything out of tune usually) £85 quid all in including the ear buds https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0BY6MH97W?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1 https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B08TR39Y9H?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details
