  1. Id be interested in the neck if you ever consider splitting.
  2. Did they still have the 2024x at the hugely discounted rate? That's the bass that makes my heart flutter!
  3. Mwahahaha, my evil genius knows no bounds!! That said, I haven't even looked at another bass amp since getting it, some 2 years ago. They really do tick a hell of a lot of boxes and I tried basically everything going before committing.
  4. You can go through my rm500 in Brighton Lozz and that should make up your mind! 😉
  5. I've now got one of these! I was feeling uninspired by my old bass recently so made the decision to move it on. I was unsure what to go for as a replacement but after finding a good deal second hand for one of these decided to give it a go. After meeting up with the fella selling I was pretty impressed with the quality of the instrument. Acoustically, it sounds huge so when I plugged it in it obviously sounded even better. I've been tinkering at home with it and have been delighted with the playability and overall quality of the bass. People have reported super low weights of the basses but this is one of the heavier ones at 9.2lbs but I prefer a little weight to my basses anyway. Despite this, I still had to see how it fit with the band to know whether it was a keeper or not. Fast forward to yesterday when I met up with the band for songwriting and a gig in the evening. After a short period of adjustment the bass sounded fantastic. It cuts through the mix perfectly but feels full enough to fill out the songs too. I'm still experimenting with pickup levels but currently favouring neck pickup on full and bridge pickup 2/3rds on with the tone rolled off slightly. Seems to give a sort of precisionesque tone but brighter. The thing I'm particularly enjoying is just how easy this bass is to play. It makes playing seem so much easier. The guy selling told me he had the bass setup at The Gallery in London so would definitely recommend heading there for anyone in the local area. Thats all really, just wanted to share my delight at finding a great bass!

  7. I had the RM420 and sent it back after one practise, just didn't cut through sufficiently. Got the RM EVO 500 and no such problems, I see you already have one..
  8. Finally got to trying out the BB434M today and I've got to say I'm impressed. As a current owner of a BB1024x I wasn't sure what to expect but it seems like its a similar bass to the previous models only with a maple fretboard option, at last. The place where it was great was the pickups and the reconfiguration of their workings. Having come from the switch of the BB1024x I was unsure what difference to expect but much preferred being able to dial in as much Jazz pickup as desired on the new bass which in my case was only a little. Even the pickguard isn't irritating me as much as used to! Now to get saving..
  9. The op doesn't like the 35" scale neck so changing everything isn't an option.
  10. I've had a look, it looks like UK buyers can't bid..
  11. This is a very timely topic for me, I've sold up the Programmable BDDI and planning on getting the VTDI. I have to say that I experienced a similar issue to Osiris with an issue cutting through. I ended up boosting the upper mids on the amp to try to resolve this problem but got tired of trying to fight against it. I'll report back when it comes.

  13. Walking to practise with the singer thinking of band names and got onto diseases, all the good ones were taken so we ended up with Skurvi. Spelling courtesy of the def leppard school of thought.

  15. Just something to consider, we sell music through CD's and digitally. From my perspective, if I'm considering going to see or am playing with another band I will always take the opportunity to check them out online beforehand if possible. 1 because you then know what to expect and 2 they may be great. I find that having the opportunity to do that will vastly improve the chances of me watching that band and also increase the chances that I will go on to buy their merchandise, be that CD or T-Shirt. Personally, I find it hard to get into most bands if I don't know their material, listening online gets me interested in new stuff.
  16. I popped into the London store today whilst at a loose end. Fella in store suggested they would be in store late May early June.
