1. Seems ok (ish) out in the provinces, at least for the moment. Our drummer has these dreamy eyes when he talks of wanting to play in London, like he's seeing streets paved with gold. We normally have to hit him about some to break the reverie.
 2.
I'd take the Fodera and sell it.
This, I think, is the post of the thread! Put me down for another Fodera... and I'll have it on the Marketplace in no time
 3.
Got to be honest, I just don't do black anymore, it's just too..........black.
Is this possible? Best of luck with the sale Rayman, she's a stunner.
 4. Mud, not for sale... yet. Watch this space, I would say.
 5.
The best exercise to help with bass playing is bass playing.
This is probably the nail hitting the head. All good stuff from Beedster.
 6. All gone - congratulations to WavyDavy, but will now be enjoying this super bass. A pleasure to meet you Dave -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Up for a trade, as not being used - a bit too nice for my purposes! This is a mint condition European Spector NS-2J-AR, which I picked up in a trade last year. It's a stunning bass, 10/10 condition and easily one of the most accomplised players I've owned or played - typical Spector neck, brilliant build quality, BadAss I and active EMG J-pickups. It's one of a limited run, I understand, to celebrate the original NS2 - available in three colours, with 83 basses produced in each, with this being one of the natural finishes. Specs as follows:

Original NS-Curved Body™
Bolt-On 3 Piece Rock Maple Neck
Pearl Dot Inlays and Rosewood Fingerboard.
Deep Pocket Neck Insert
Active EMG™ J/J Pickups
Active EQ - 9v EMG™ BT
Chrome Schaller™ Tuners
Chrome BadAss™ Bridge
Chrome Dunlop™ Strap Locks
Brass nut
Weight: 8.3lbs
More information can be found here: http://www.spectorba...l_years_4E.html .
 7. Are you doing any other exercise during the week? Would be good to know, for context. If so, and you're a gym member, it might be worth having a chat with the guys there to see what they make of it. You might have a look at some combination of wrist curls, to stretch the extensors. I've found them useful - should be plenty of 'how to' via Google. You normally do them with light weights.
 8. Make sure you still get paid. You've been, you've played, everything else lies with them. Get your money, go, and have a laugh about it in the morning.
 9. I skipped through a few pages, but has anyone mentioned it's a market, yet? I find that people are often frustrated when trying to apply their own moral and ethical outlook on to a market - it works in some cases, but 9 times out of 10. I like the mention of Veblen goods, as this would be a good example - they hold a value above and beyond the sum of their parts, or necessarily the means of their creation. However, having spent a week with a top UK luthier, I can confirm that a massive - massive! - amount of work goes into these instruments.
 10. Finished! Brilliant course. My only regret was insisting it was Dame Barbara Cartland in the pub quiz... I should have bowed to Jon's apparent expertise in romance writers! Pics this weekend. Bit busy playing. I 'm impressed I've managed to craft something do professional, having been a real craft-eejit throughout life. Brilliant course, learnt so much.
 11. I've just finished mine, was brilliant - will put some pics up over the weekend!
 12. I was wondering why Lesbian, Bi or Gay Students would be a topic for Basschat. Or was that LGB?
 13. Paging the Neep, come in Neep...
