1. Bollocks, missed that one! Fancy putting some better pics up in the porn section? Would love a better look. Also, phew! Does look like the one from the Tokyo live vid.
2. Which one? Not the £2k+ one?
3. Gone, with my old Charvel returning to me. Shame, as you have a MIM Jazz in your sig!
4. And a separate dry channel...
5. That's lovely, Neep. Find me one will you?
6.
Sometimes, less is more
This, in a nutshell.
7. I found this, if it's helpful: http://www.uberproaudio.com/who-plays-what/607-mastodon-troy-sanders-bass-rig-gear-and-equipment

I'm unsure I'd be that precise, to be honest. I am nothing if not ignorant, sadly.
Fishman have just brought out something comparable, there's a thread on it on here. Personally I would look to combine a separate gain unit and harmoniser/octaver in one loop together. If it's say octave up and down you're after, you can't go wrong with the EHX Micro Pog, or if it's something more complicated you're after (say +/- 5ths, 4ths etc), perhaps look at the Eventide Pitch Factor? The Digitech Whammy also provides all kinds of cool harmonies and shifts. Combine any of those with a fuzz/distortion pedal of your choice and you'll get that sound.
For me, then, it would be as easily obtained by putting Pog + Big Muff into a chain?
10.
We used to have a tenor player who would stick one bollock out of his fly and play a whole set like that.
Brilliant. This is showmanship people.
11.
The problem for me is that the pics are so small you can't see any detail on the bass, put some bigger pics up and you'll get more interest.
+1, for me - would be good to see some of the scars, to get an idea of what shape it's in. Whereabouts in the North East are you?
12.
I've been on stage with trouser flies open before.
Oh yes. Thankfully, even though I couldn't button my jeans, I did manage to button my boxers, or that would really have been a contender for this list. Quite literally, rock out with your cock out! I think such an occasion would call for some tactical bass ,placement, for the purposes of modesty and not making too many people jealous
13. Turning up without a rig. I've not quite managed to turn up without the bass, but I'm sure that that time will come.

Anyone? I'd be interested; I had no idea these existed, but they sound a very cool little pedal!
15. Sounds like good news, swann - glad you found your Dingwall Could you please edit the thread title to reflect the fact that this is now sold, thanks.
16.
Yes, it would be shame to have read through all of this without an explanation
We need closure, after 22 pages!
17.
If people insist on buying level 42 records, this is what will come of it.
Quote of the day. Fact. But yes, not my cup o' tea.
18. I think the work looks great - including the traditional headstock logo! Would definitely like to find a decent US Mock at some point; or a custom-shop, if am feeling flush. I adore my CS Eagle, so would like something of similar quality and tone.
19. Any chance of a pic? I don't think I've seen this one before.
20. sh*te, that's my cock up for calling ST a 'distributor' - good job you've got a streak of pedantry to back up the good advice So do you reckon it's not worth contacting EBMM? I'm still in favour of dropping them a line, given the bass has been tampered with somewhere along the line - though I wouldn't be expecting them to put things right (although Lakland did, in the example above), as the contract is with the retailer.
21.
Do it all in writing, recorded delivery, etc. Remember that the contract is with the retailer, not with the distributor or with the manufacturer. Speak to your local trading standards office for additional advice.
Some good points, there. I thought the contract with the manufacturer was simply to report the anomalies experienced with the bass... ? I still think it's an avenue worth pursuing, although I would expect the distributor - the source of the current issue - to be the one resolving it.
22.
I think before you agree to any but a full refund plus interest, you should get a definite timeline for EBMM/S&M/BM to sort this problem 100% to your satisfaction, with definite penalties to them if they fail to meet the agreed deadlines. The least you can ask. If they can't do this them take the money and walk away otherwise I have a feeling that you'll get strung along for several more months with nothing but aggravation to show for it.
This sums it, for me. I think I'd be very risk averse at this point, and wanting to see the numbers bank in my bank account... before commiting to anythign else.
23. I guess you're the only one with a strong opinion, Ian I was still in the mind of moving it off, and finding something I could have a more hope of lugging - my back is like glass at the moment!
24.
S&T are now trying to sort something out for me because of all of this, not sure what is going to happen yet...but Im hoping it is ALL positive.
Sorting out what? I thought you'd gone for a refund? If so, remember the interest!
25. This will look stunning in the end, and surely be entirely worth it
