  1. The clear out of stuff continues . Aria catalogue . Probably early to mid 80's . All the SB/TSB basses , Pro11 RS/TS/YS etc guitars , plus all the acoustics . Yamaha catalogue - 1990. All guitars and basses from the era. Peavey catalogue - Mid 80's ? The whole guitar and bass ranges , with a section at the back with all the specs. HH catalogues , two of them . Both show as 1980. One shows the Performer range for guitar and bass , and the other is a user manual for the bass range. Mesa Boogie catalogue - 1984 . From Rocky road. Full range of guitar and bass amps, individual speakers and valves. Mesa Boogie A4 envelope from Rock road - chocca full of various Boogie guitar and bass stuff . Date stamp on postage is 1993 (I got them to send this to me) , and looks like there's pretty much everything from that era. Trace Elliot MKV catalogue - all glossy and nice . I reckon mid 80's , by looking at the pictures of Mark King and Mike Porcaro . Trace Elliot Series 6 operating instructions manual . List of all the Series 6 stuff inside , how to hook up etc . I have two of these. Trace Elliot speaker badges . Never used , and still have the sticker peel on them - been stored for over 30 years . I suspect that there's some quite rare stuff amongst all of that , and quite trick to price . £50 signed for 1st class delivery - for the lot
  2. Very rarely anymore . All my gigs are Norfolk , Suffolk and Cambs nowadays .
  3. Cab now only left . £100 . Will come with brand new unused proper Eden casters for this cab - originals broke , so ordered new ones years ago , still packaged up and never put on . Also will will throw in a Great Gramma pad - one of the original ones , and top condition as always stored in the box . Paul
  4. Bumping for a bit of fuzz/phase goodiness . Burninator now the last pedal left . £100 posted - 1st class signed for
  5. Thanks for that
  6. I was thinking of getting an NS CR4M or 5M, and was wondering if they’re the same size as your NXT? So will the Peli case fit that too?
  7. Sold. Please lock
  8. I’m good for that. I had a guy from Bristol interested, and he was happy to meet halfway this coming Tuesday, but he’s gone silent. I’ll send him a message now, and if I hear nothing, then I’ll be in touch tomorrow. Paul
  9. Similar guitar style and sound on Perfect by Fairground Attraction, and also Faith by George Michael. Same bloke?
  10. Bumping this ad. Played it this weekend on two gigs (Northern Soul and Ska), and a Function band wedding gig last weekend. It’s great for all of that, but I’m just not bonding with it, as prefer the feel of my Dingwall. So if anyone fancies a swap with a MM Stingray 5M special (plus cash from me), then get in touch. Or maybe an NS design CRM - 4 or 5 string, not concerned either way. Or perhaps a nice Aguilar DB751 as a trade- fancy one of those big boys again. Thanks
  11. They’re lovely. I’ve had one for a few years now, and it’s seen off my Modulus, Bogart, and I hardly ever play my Sadowskys. Just plays so well
  12. Is the output transformer only on that XLR , or on the 1/4” jack too?
  13. Link to the original ad is here .. Recently bought this on here to try and find a jazz bass to get on with, but have to come to the conclusion that they’re not for me - I’ve tried a Fender 4, SEI 5, Status 4, and now this Sadowsky 5. This has been the best by far, and no difference between this Japanese one, and the US ones - as the man himself said. Basically looking to get back what I paid for it (although I made a hefty drive to pick it up). 4 kgs in weight. I’m not geared up to ship this, so a pick up or meet up please. Trade wise .. MM Stingray 5 Special with H only, preferably no burst finishes. Plus cash from me. Dingwall Super P5, with cash from me Quite partial to P5’s in general, so Lakland US P5, Freedom P5, Sadowsky P5 - that sort of this. I can add money to bring up the value, if required. Thanks - Paul
  14. Original BCP-1 Diamond compressor. S/N 2977 Owned for a while and been on my board for a couple of years, but now no longer using it. Comes with original box, and all the leads and paperwork inside. Velcro on bottom £140 posted via Post Office recoded delivery.
  15. They should do it like I have on my Sonic Farm pre. All options are here
  16. I was going to post, but this is sort of exactly what I’d of written- only difference would be that ‘my’ Nan couldn’t sing for toffee. Was going to mention Glen Matlock, but wasn’t sure if I’d of been accused of talking rubbish- but he’s nowhere near the bass player needed for the groove of those Blondie songs
  17. Yep- that Stingray sounds great. What’s nice to see is Elton also keeping the same drummer from the beginning- guitarist too. Also nice to see Ray Cooper on percussion
  18. Generation 3 ENKI cases I believe are better with the wheel wobble- though I may be wrong. Only issue, is that some shops will have brand new MK2s still to pump out. The price for ENKIs have gone up from last year- much like everything else I suppose. I keep wondering whether to save up for one or not, and the only thing holding me back is the price
  19. I bought a Crest CA9 years ago, after reading loads up on it. It’s mainly beloved over on Talkbass- though is very heavy. Bought it cheapish, to try out and scratch the proverbial itch. I’ve had loads of power amps over the years, and it’s absolutely great on bass. There are loads of mentions about the reasoning behind this- that it’s not a flat sound, and by a sort of quirk in the design, works well on bass guitar. I bought it with the view of being sceptical, and then moving it on, but it’s really good. The only issue is the weight, and also the fact that it’s very deep in size- meaning you have to look for a suitable rack. I found a 2U Boschma rack on their site- very heavy duty moulded plastic one. But I’m not sure that they’re still in business or not. I use it with a Sonic Farm mic pre In front of it, and sounds really good
  20. That’s fine. I’m in no rush, as I still take it out as a backup . Thanks for replying though- some don’t. What did you end up getting by the way? I’m such a gear nerd- he he Paul
  21. Sounds like a plan. Nik was interested, but he’s decided on something else now. Let me know guys Paul
  22. You had one of those a few years ago didn’t you? As did I. Debating whether to get another again- they are awesome amps
  23. If I could sell my bass, this is one of two that I pick from to replace it. These are great- just got a Japanese Metro R24 Modern in on a trade. Quality wise, there’s not a fag paper’s difference between the US ones. As I said before- it’s a difficult time to sell at the moment. Someone’s even started a thread about it. This bass is really as good as it gets if you’re after a 5 active Jazz.
  24. This bass is lovely. Just shows how tight things are for most folk. Far better that the German ones I’d say
  25. Same here. Ive been running- bass into small board with SFX 2 band EQ, compressor, Sonic Farm, then power amp and speakers- lovely sound, with hardly any EQ. The Caveman has been on my radar, but unsure if to spend the money on something that might not make a lot of difference. The bass pre-amp rabbit hole you can go down is massive, if you had the funds
