Rest of the time was sanding, cleaning filling, sanding and cleaning again.

I love Billy Sheehan's sound, especially with Niacin, but I wouldn't really want to replicate it. I used to want to, but not these days.

Who made me play bass? Steve Harris, John Entwistle and Cliff Burton were the first guys. Les Claypool and Billy Sheehan made me continue. Justin Chancellor made me realise a plectrum isn't entirely evil...

Or go for some Prog Death Metal and find some Opeth to play. A fair amount is dropped D, as far as I can tell.

Whilst excessively drunk I threw a Dean bass, I'd had for a few hours, off the stage at the end of a gig. Didn't know until the next rehearsal. Only damage was some cracked finish around the controls.

I've had one on my Aria SB-Elite since 1988. The level wore out in the late 90s and Hipshot sent me a replacement lever for free. They're incredibly useful. I'm planning to get another to put on my Dean. I've never really noticed a change in tension, but I do use a 110 E.

On a similar idea I had a 8x4 sheet of 18mm MDF cut down for shelves today. The offcuts are going to be used to make hangers for my basses.
