1. Best be quick folks, exactly what I'm after. Shame I've withdrawn my JB75PJ. If it had sold, this would be mine. GLWTS, won't be around long.
2. 5 Fleas up for sale, none of the owners interested in this. Several people thinking about this bass. Rare I say this kind of thing but it really is as well made as at least two of the CS's I've had the privilege of owning. Withdrawn.
3. Les, let Jeff Baddley know https://www.facebook.com/Troyen14%20/
4. Great that Allan Davies is endorsing them
5. Anybody heard of any shops taking pre orders on the T-bird Vintage? It's only 3 months away
6. Never ceases to amaze me that people don't understand just how superb these 60's Classic Series basses are. Terrific gigging basses.
7. Marc, 38mm nut Tom, stop calling me cheeky Some lovely (and pricey) exotica offered against this bass, but need a Flea, a sale or possibly a Road Worn 60's Classic Series. I thank 'e
8. AHA, finally found some evidence the white and 3TS existed https://www.bax-shop.co.uk/products-out-of-stock/fender-jb75pj-3ts-jazz-bass-mij-ltd-2013-dyna-made-in-japan Took some finding.
9. Sorry, I can't really answer that as there are so many variables. What I would say is I usually drive it off the P pup, and it sounds like a smooth P with tone rolled off. There is a link to a GAK demo in the 1st post. I also came across this review by our very own Geofio https://www.youtube....h?v=1Zbgr7KB6wM
10. Fitting that you have the "common" one Tom All PM 's replied thanks
11. Limited Edition non export FSR Fender JB75 P/J.. There is a fair bit of info on the web about the FSR Ltd Edition Old Candy Apple Red P/J, as there were 78 made available. At the same time, there were a few white and sunburst released. GAK and Andertons showed one of each in stock, early 2014. There are quite a few references to "hand crafted in Japan" for these '75s. A few bits on T*** B*** and indeed Basschat, but this series is rare anywhere outside of Japan. CAR demo https://www.youtube....h?v=myjKSKOzCHk So, selected light alder (9lb 3oz) Fender JAPAN , Factory Special Run, '75 reissue Limited Edition Jazz with factory fitted Precision/Jazz pick ups. Apologies for photos, not stopped raining since last Thursday and the light is all over inside. 3 little dints/scrape on bottom, one dint on back, Can be seen in photos (although it makes one dint look worse than it is). Please bear in mind used Japan Millers are going for at least the value I put on this. There is also a 90's Non Export Japan 75 on FEEBay at £1150. This bass is beautifully put together/finished. At the time, they were £1149 with gigbag, but sold at just over £1000 (2013). Cheers, Karl. EDIT, end of the headstock is fine, it's the "fur??" lining from the hard case
12. Bugger, I was hoping a sale on my Fender Japan JB75 RI P/J but it's fallen through 10 minutes ago. So at this moment Tom, can't get your LPB
13. A karlfer who has been studiously ignoring that LPB since seeing it around noon
14. Beauty of the Orange Bass Terror is it has 4ohm/8ohm selector switch on the back.
15. Is nobody having a rant about Metallica ticket prices?
16. Al bought a bass off me. His first transaction on here. Paid very quickly, great comms, absolute pleasure to deal with. Fully recommended, deal with confidence. Thanks Al, enjoy the bass
17.
This is an old one!!!
Page 48 of 2013 Fender brochure, think they changed back to this style late 2010 http://www.citraintirama.com/files/download/FenderCatalog2013.pdf Hope that helps.
18. There's a guy on the following linked Facebook group looking for one. He's not too far from you. His name is Andy Shaw, I've put a link to your ad on his thread https://www.facebook...89090051102626/ Good luck, Karl. EDIT. Just noticed Andy is on here as well, as " inmate1571 "
19. Thanks chaps, PM' s replied to. Tom, hope you got a curly Bullet lead from those links. This bass owes me over £600. It's a 30 year old Japanese bass, they are not easy to find and are unlikely to get any cheaper. The 1st runs of these (with painted black neck) were first made around JV Series time. It is an excellent playing bass at £450 (£150 cheaper than a new Mex Standard Precision and around half the price of a new Japanese Aerodyne which imo aren't a patch on these). These also have a rather good rep courtesy of Duff. If it doesn't sell at £450, I will find something else to sell. Of course, folk can always spend £1100 on a new Mexican Fender Duff .
20.
Well ta for that. Maybe I'll have a look out for a squier classic vibe version of the 51.
Paul Houghton has one on Facebook. Used to be mine. Fabulous bass.
21. Oh well, in for a penny................... Proof (sort of) that it's perfectly giggable. Guitarist's daughters wedding week or so back, 1st number. On far too early (7.30pm ) Hope this works https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YL4IyrsfQWM&sns=fb Cheers, Karl.
22. Plays extremely well BUT lot of little niggles. Light weight at 8lb 2oz Need to pay for something else. When I received this, exactly half the tuner screws and exactly half the pick up screws were missing. One side of the P pick wasn't wired up. It had two string trees. I think it's been refinished even though it has some little paint bumps. The paint on the headstock is cracked and you can see where the other (unneccesary) string tree was. Some of the black paint is coming off the tired bridge. I found some tuners screws that did the job (although not same size heads), found some pup screws, re wired the pup, cleaned the Hell out of it. Several coats of lemon oil. Set it up properly. Will include a Fender gig bag. It plays superbly now but I've spent a good bit of time and money on it and I look at it with hatred . As a players bass it is worth every penny, so sadly I'm not going to take any offers. I'm bigging this one up aren't I lol. PLEASE NOTE, I will reluctantly courier the bass (extra £25, UK only) BUT, I really wouldn't like complaints about what you get. I've described everything as accurately as I can. It's a great playing 30 year old bass with battle scars. Based in Wigan. Feedback linked below. I can provide some video of this bass in recent use. Thanks for looking, cheers, Karl. 23. I bought an Orange Bass Terror on Friday night. I picked one of these cabs up on Saturday. Gigged that rig on Saturday night. The cab was frankly ASTONISHING! If I dare say, a massive improvement in volume and dispersion over the B/F SuperTwelve I had just sold. Good luck Gary, somebody is going to be delighted.
