3.
I've found the Epiphone Pro's to be really close to my Gibson Tbirds. To my mind there's slightly less resonance in the Epiphone body. I've given my Epi's a bit of a make over though, as you can see from the photo's (hopefully!)
Aww man, that white single pup,

11. There's new Epi Bird out in July, 2 piece bridge, chrome pups, Fender style tuners, basically a bit of a 60's RI. I'm jonesing for a white one. Follow the thread http://basschat.co.uk/topic/298790-new-embassy-and-also-thunderbird-bass-classic-style/ Oh and ivansc, I gigged an '84 Explorer bass for 17 years and found it to be a VERY long way from "utter cack".
12. I'm sure I saw some pop up that stated they were reducing final value fee from 10% to 3.5% Did I imagine this. Your answers please oh oracles of BC.
13. people would voice concerns about an ad by PM .
14. Withdrawn (sorry Jack, I've PM'd you, apologies).
15.
My old 1990 Jap 60's re issue, also had the brass strips under the pick up's. They should have earth wires soldered to them ?
It's a 62 reissue. As per real 62 Jazzes, there is an earthing strip running from bridge to bridge pickup, on the top of the body (see pic #3)..
16. Cheers Mark, very kind Nothing on bottom of either pups, but certainly well made. The foam is in super condition for a 21 year old bass. As are the brass?? strips on the bottom of the pups.
17. All PM'S now replied to thank you. One raised an interesting point (thanks Tim). Here is my reply; "I'm 99% convinced it's the JB62-US. However, without taking the neck off and looking to see what is stamped in the pocket, I cannot positively confirm that. Normally that would not be a problem, but I'm not going to this time. Simple reason is most basses that have had the neck off, have two lines of cracked paint where the neck is screwed back on too tightly. Been there, done that . This does not have the paint cracks and so I'm not going to risk it I'm afraid. As a result of that, I think I'm probably going to withdraw the bass. Many thanks for your interest, apologies, Karl. " SO, CURRENTLY still up for trade whilst I have a think. Cheers, Karl.
18.
To be fair, I had one of those 'lawsuit' Encores (i.e. Fender headstock shape), and it was as good as any Mexican Fender Still shouldn't be listed as it is though. Si
Sorry Mr. Global Moderator but that's opinionated rubbish . Have you played EVERY Mexican Fender?
19. Price is trade valuation only. Lovely Candy Apple Red jazz, 62 reissue Made by Fuji-Gen the 1st year they took over the Fender Japan production. I need a Precision so this splendid jazz is up for trade. A nice Mex plus money to me. A nice US plus money to you. PLEASE PM trade offers. UK only, sorry. I would prefer to meet up, within 50 miles of Wigan. Feedback linked below. Thanks for looking, cheers, Karl.
