All PM'S now replied to thank you. One raised an interesting point (thanks Tim). Here is my reply; "I'm 99% convinced it's the JB62-US. However, without taking the neck off and looking to see what is stamped in the pocket, I cannot positively confirm that. Normally that would not be a problem, but I'm not going to this time. Simple reason is most basses that have had the neck off, have two lines of cracked paint where the neck is screwed back on too tightly. Been there, done that . This does not have the paint cracks and so I'm not going to risk it I'm afraid. As a result of that, I think I'm probably going to withdraw the bass. Many thanks for your interest, apologies, Karl. I have a tentative possible trade agreement on this bass, however I'm sure the chap in question would prefer cash. So, 2002 (just before S1) very good condition body, the headstock has a few cymbal nibbles. If any interest, I will take some photos this evening and mail them to you. Hell's bells, I've been inundated guv Right, all pm's replied thanks. And to[i] that guy [i] , [/i][/i]cash price is £550, which I consider to be decent, especially as they are now in most shops at £911.

At that weight it's going to be Alder I would think.

£600 is trade valuation, £550 cash collected/meet up. These basses are made slightly road worn. Nut width between Jazz and Precision at 40mm. Light at 8lbs. I have the spare neck plate and will include a decent DOUBLE gigbag with the bass. Still looking for Road Worn Jazz or a Flea and I have a few bob to put towards one. This Sting is in very good condition, especially for 15 years old. Couple of little scrapes, difficult to photo. I have the original 2 barrel bridge (chrome coming off barrels) but this Fender Deluxe string through bridge is a perfect (if pricey) replacement. Comes with decent DOUBLE gigbag. Lightweight Ash body, 8lbs 4ozs. ONE real issue. These "cup" jack sockets are notoriously crap. The jack socket is loose, the "cup" is slightly loose, however, I'm quite happy to gig it like that. I have an upgrade socket on the way, I will forward it to buyer. I'm unusually unsure about moving this on. The sound from this bass is fabulous. Think I will probably give it a week, see what happens. Any trial in Wigan. Thanks for looking, cheers, Karl.
