1.
Damp wish I hadn't of said now that is one lovely bass
This is kinda on hold for a trade, with a couple of folk in back up positions. All the PM's have been replied to now, sorry for delays, lot of interest.
2. Cheers Paul
3. I have a tentative possible trade agreement on this bass, however I'm sure the chap in question would prefer cash. So, 2002 (just before S1) very good condition body, the headstock has a few cymbal nibbles. If any interest, I will take some photos this evening and mail them to you. Frankly I have lost the will to live doing the take photos > trans to photobucket > trans to Basshat thread. And no I don't want to set a different host thing with more spam/ads/hacking. Feedback below, bass is in Wigan, any trial. Cheers, Karl.
4. Bargainacious cash price. Shame I have no cash PM's exchanged kinda bump.
5. Just had the pleasure of trading with Graeme, and pleasure it was. Decisive, reliable and just so easy to deal with. Fully recommended. Another excellent Basschat ambassador. Enjoy the bass Graeme and thanks for everything, cheers, Karl.
6.
Got a link? I can't see it on their website.
It's just on their stock list, not available for them to order yet.
7. Thanks folks. Putting this on hold as it's pretty much gone. Sorry, struggling to keep up with mail.
8. Hell's bells, I've been inundated guv Right, all pm's replied thanks. And to that guy , cash price is £550, which I consider to be decent, especially as they are now in most shops at £911.
9. At that weight it's going to be Alder I would think.
10. £600 is trade valuation, £550 cash collected/meet up. These basses are made slightly road worn. Nut width between Jazz and Precision at 40mm. Light at 8lbs. I have the spare neck plate and will include a decent DOUBLE gigbag with the bass. Still looking for Road Worn Jazz or a Flea and I have a few bob to put towards one. Feedback linked at bottom of post Thanks for looking, cheers, Karl. 11. Andertons have the 'Bird on their system, although not yet available. They have an initial price of £629, but say that may change (either way possibly) by the time they get them. I thought they might come in around £450. £629 for an (admittedly gorgeous) Epi is a bit too much for my liking.
12. Thanks chaps. On hold.
13. PM's replied thanks folks. Thanks to Lozz196 one of these is on it's way. IF I sell/trade, it will be included (but not fitted at this moment). https://www.amazon.c...x/dp/B007VE7W5Y Seems Telecasters get this done, A LOT Cheers Lozz, appreciated.
14. This Sting is in very good condition, especially for 15 years old. Couple of little scrapes, difficult to photo. I have the original 2 barrel bridge (chrome coming off barrels) but this Fender Deluxe string through bridge is a perfect (if pricey) replacement. Comes with decent DOUBLE gigbag. Lightweight Ash body, 8lbs 4ozs. ONE real issue. These "cup" jack sockets are notoriously crap. The jack socket is loose, the "cup" is slightly loose, however, I'm quite happy to gig it like that. I have an upgrade socket on the way, I will forward it to buyer. I'm unusually unsure about moving this on. The sound from this bass is fabulous. Think I will probably give it a week, see what happens. Any trial in Wigan. Thanks for looking, cheers, Karl. 15.
A bassist in a band I replaced years ago was not trusted by his wife, he had to set up then wait in the car with her, then play the first set, wait in the car during the break, second set, pack up and go home at every gig! She didn't come in and watch them and some gigs would be private functions anyway, bonkers she was!
Are you sure it was HER that was bonkers ?
16. Stunning, I'm in love!
17.
Joking aside I am surprised that this is still here I have played one of these and was most impressed and the price is great too
Thanks Paul. Traded a few days back ta.
18.
cmon Karl you know basses so don't give us none of that old bollocks about sunburst you know it's illegal lol but joking aside Glwts geezer
Paul, you are a legendary kind person of this parish. However, I must inform you Sunburst is not illegal. It can't be, I've ended up with 5 of the buggers If this one doesn't go this week, it will be the Sting up next. I'm suffering from Sunburst blindness
19.
Thanks Karl, was seriously tempted at the time, just didn't have the reddies, much nicer colour combo as well......
Give over man, this is THE classic combo seen on TV's all over the world
20.
Did you ever sell the Red one you had, I believe it was the same Bass?
The Candy Apple Red was the same model, but earlier, from 2011. Went in December. I withdrew it from here, this was my last comment on the closed sale thread; "3 buyers gone awol. 14 basses offered in trade (no RW Jazzes ). 3 cabs offered that I didn't want. Just easier to keep it." Ironically, it went the same night before I could withdraw it from FB
21.
I have one of these - it's a great instrument - very underrated. The neck is very shallow, probably the easiest Precision neck around. And it packs quite a punch in terms of sound. I hope to get the Jazz version at some stage, but only because I'm struggling with a wide fingerboard due to my advanced years ... Good luck
There's a used American Special Jazz on FEEBay at the moment, £750 BIN. Thanks for all the pm's and offers folks. None of the basses required offered in trade, but 3 lovely "others" offered. And I'm weak, so................ Of course, it is available for sale as well , cheers, Karl.
22. Keep badgering the sender. Keep the Painpal thing open. I had one go missing in Spain for 3.5 weeks. It eventually turned up with the buyer (who had the patience of a saint). THAT is why, if I sell any gear to Europe, I insist on the buyer booking/paying courier. It's cost me a few sales over the years but I can live with that. I have everything crossed for you Mr. Alembic, good luck.
23. As Lizzy would say, Still in love with you * * the bass obviously
24. Did I miss something?
25. All PM'S and questions have now been replied to. A LOT of trade offers, none of them original spec Fender Road Worn. Mark, way out in front fella, even though it was a curve ball Thanks all.
