Hello folks. NOW for sale, £600 collected from Wigan, £635 delivered. No offers thanks. Long shot but I need to get a Duck Dunn. On the rare occasion they come up they seem to go for £525/£550. The '75 re-issues seem to go for around £600+, so not much in it. Problems with my jazz. 1. Seems to have been dropped at some time, nasty little ding at bottom strap button. 2. When taking the (crap) photo's noticed the the screw for the G string saddle is missing . Now replaced with correct Japanese screw. This jazz used to belong to Tom1946, so it's a good 'un, with the slightly less common rosewood board and blocks. This is a reluctant trade/sale, but I really need a P with a J neck. The 3 guys who asked for a sale price when I was looking to trade, seem to have vanished, so now on open sale Thanks for looking, Karl. Bump. It's from 1976, it's very well made, it's a very good likeness to the real thing. More so than most modern Rickenfakers. It's unlikely (but slightly possible) to be worth any less in the future £330 delivered by Parcel Farce £300 collected from Wigan. I need a second SP212, please save me from FEEBay . Karl.

It appears to have a facing of about a quarter of an inch, then solid wood beneath that. Seem to remember it changed about mid-nineties.

Can you imagine a 2001 reissue being released now.[/quote] Think it was partly that bassists missed the aesthetics of the blocks/binding, especially with some of the strangeness that went with basses in the 80's. I was guilty of some seriously strange basses around that time. Mind, I think most of the early 70's re-issues were non-export Japanese market.

In the days when I was in a prog band, I used to fill in on some numbers, on the evil 6 stringed thing. I had a stunning sunburst thinline Tele, by Fenix, and it was SUPERBLY made. Good luck with your sale, Karl.
