1.
...does "mahogamy" mean it will stay true to its wood?
another coffee/screen incident.
2. 16 bar drum intro,Cocaine straight into Don't believe a word.
3. The Griffin, Newton -le -Willows website, quote, "putting the roof back on after BBGM blew it off last night". The audience loved it, we loved it, 6, yes, 6 encores, which tested our repertoire (and my aging stamina). Despite sounding like an ego trip, that was probably one of the most enjoyable gigs I've done for over 25 years. Pretty much everybody there enjoyed an evening of live music, nearly all covers. Even the horrendously long Metallica "Am I Evil" went down a storm. Buggered if I'm going to consider myself "killing music" after that!
4. Silddx, stop winding people up, get your tip rod out and get after a Barbel on the Thames Bilbo, can you make it a "rock opera" based on the thoughts of the chairman? After years of writing/performing originals, and years of playing in covers bands, I just wish I was any good at any of it. Ah well, I can look forward to 2 sets at the Griffin in Newton -le- Willows tonight. Kill music? My bass playing has been doing that for f£%^($g years.
5. Tom bought this off me. It's a superb copy with authentic hardware and I only sold it to get a P for what was a depping job(that appears now to be permanent ) Having dealt with Tom twice, I would guess it's even better than it was when he got it. Might not be a vintage Ibby, but at that price, IMO you will be very hard pushed to get anything better in this genre. Karl.
6. I had a sunburst slimline version of this guitar for quite a few years and it was a belter. Only really used it for writing and Johnny B Goode kinda stuff in shows, but it was a good as any thing Young Chan's previous employer put out IMO. Good luck.
7. Absolutely faultless transaction with Patrick, a pleasure to deal with. Deal with ultimate confidence. Enjoy the bass and good luck with the jazz/funk band. All the best and thanks Patrick, cheers, Karl.
8. Buy from this man! You should see the Japanese '75 re-issue I bludgeoned, sorry, gently persuaded him to sell me :brow: Good luck Tom.
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/SWR-Studio-220-Bass-...=item20b39f78b6 Any comments? Dont know much about SWR really, what ive heard has been good though.
I've got SWR 350X HEAD, and Son of Bertha 1x15, also Aguilar 2x10. SWR is very well built, great clarity of sound. Try looking up SWR reviews on Harmony Central, in their legacy reviews section. Certainly seems a good buy at the starting price. Good luck, Karl.
10. Bump for a gent. Wish I had just a little more cash.
11.
If you can afford to pay fifty quid for a sticker, you can probably afford a bass that already has the sticker on it..
12. Hello Gaz Wills, sure this has gone, but I sent you a PM last week. If you still have it could you PM me please. Cheers, Karl.
13. Just the thing for Rock night at The Mucky Duck
14.
bump, lot on sale at the moment!
Yup, more on here than FEEBay kinda bump. Nice bass Oli.
15.
There's always the Make an Offer button.
A fiver plus an hours therapy
16. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Bass-guitar-Hagstrom...=item41522daed6 FFS. I started with this, branded as a Futurama, that cost me £10, and I was robbed
17. Probably final bump before FEEBay. As ever, changing circumstances. Possible trade for 450, 500 watt (at 4 ohms) Ampeg, Tiny Terror, SWR, MarkBass, Genz Benz, Ashdown. Cheers, Karl.
18. That's crazy money, wish I was in the same time zone. Good luck bumpy thing. Karl.
19. Top transaction. Top guy, highly recommended. Jase made his mind up and made the whole thing so easy. All the best mate and enjoy. Cheers, Karl.
20.
i wish my p bass wasnt mexican
I wish I didn't have to sell this, but she who must be ignored is weakening. She hasn't snarled about it still being in the front room for nearly a full day. :brow:
21. Thanks Jase, hope this helps, cheers, Karl.
22.
I had one of these, and it was a superb bass, should've kept it. In fact it's the one bass out of the dozens I've had come and go that the guitarist in the band consistantly wishes I still had, he mentioned it again the other night.
Cheers Rayman, it really is an excellent bass, but if Basskit Case can't get £400 for a Geddy, it really doesn't look good Karl.
23. quote name='Bassassin' date='Sep 2 2010, 09:25 PM' post='943963'] Bit dear for me - but I'm half tempted to say I want it just to see if some miserable, weasel-faced scrote will jump in & grab it first. Which reminds me - I must start that vintage Washburn thread in Porn... J.
24. A few nibbles but still here. For a few days it will be £375 posted (after funds clear) or £350 if you come and pick it up! I would rather a BassChatter got the benefit than it lining FeeBay's pockets. Would strongly consider a decent Japanese P, or P/J or Aerodyne. Thanks for looking, Karl.
