1. Hello there, just a bit of advice really please. I have just put my old Trantec 1000 system (bought about '92) up for sale on the forum. It has clearly written on it WT Licence exempt, 175.000 mhz. Am I correct in assuming this wireless bass system is both legal and doesn't require a licence? I've not used it for 5 years (except 2 nights ago when I set it up to ensure it still works ok) and I am unlikely to use it again. Really just want to ensure it's ok as I have had no interest. Hope someone can help, Cheers, Karl.
2. All PM's replied to. Still here much to Gobzilla's chagrin Won't be going onto bay, she agrees, after I have told her how much it costs! Karl.
3. Hi folks. I bought this wireless system new in about '92 and I remember it cost quite a bit. It is in excellent condition. I have tried to photo all the info, but it's only a camera phone. I have not used this system for over 5 years and the gigs I do now, turn round too fast and you slice your nose on a symbal. I have had taxi firms come over it in the past! I dont know (despite what it says on the back of the reciever) if it is legal, licence exempt, or if you can use 175.000 mhz band, so please don't ask Please ask one of the forum experts. I do know, having set it up tonight, that it works fine, much to Gobzilla the wife's disgust. Looking for £25 plus £5 postage. If I sell it, I can get some flatties for my P. If I don't sell it, I will still get some flatties for my P, then put the wireless system away again Thank you for reading my drivel. (Edit, Hells Bells, there's a lot of I in that!) Karl.
4. Thars fantastic Dave, thanks very much Cheers, Karl.
5. Firstly what are 750s? Secondly I need advice as well please. I have a 70's re-issue Japanese P. Currently strung with Roto Swing, 45-105. I need to know if any flats have similar tension to these. I have no problem doing the intonation but I don't want to take the neck off to adjust the truss as I am just not confident I will do it without bollocking a screw thread or the wood. Yes, I know I'm a chicken/idiot. Any advice greatfully accepted, Cheers, Karl.
6. Hello there. Could you let us know roughly where you are based. How old is you jazz What sort of condition is it in? Of any interest? http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=99803 I've just bigged up the photo's. Damn that looks nice.
7.
hi am interested i could arrange collection would that be ok chris
I've tried both here and ebay to contact since early yesterday, he is possibly away for the weekend. This bass is currently on ebay, just go to basses for sale and search CMI. It was at 1 bid, £300 last I looked.
8. Many thanks BT1 but not really for me. The only trade I would snatch arms off for is a Goliath Junior 111. I struggle with P necks, but love the sound of them. I got lucky with a superb 70's Jap re-issue, from the sadly late great Old Git. These have a slightly slimmer neck, but boy are they a P. Good luck and again, many thanks, Karl.
Why thank you kind sir! You are clearly a gentleman of taste and sophistication! I presume that they are..... I can only imagine that they moved production to China cos its cheaper! Please that although some of the trades offered are very desirable.... I really dont need any more basses. The only thing I need is a Marshall VBC 412 cab! Otherwise I ( my wife) needs the cash!
The wife bit, I know the feeling! Good luck! Karl.

Bump.
11. I had a twin neck CSL SG copy, 4 and 6 string. Weighed the same as a Ford Escort.
12. Bump for price drop/ poss trade.
13. Hiya. I am sure you dont want a trade, but I will ask, especially as you like jazzes. Any interest in this? I live in Wigan so coming up is no prob. http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=99803 If not, good luck with the sale. Cheers, Karl.

15. In reply to a couple of PM's regarding posting this MADE IN USA bass. Checked with Post Office today. Sent by Parcel Farce 48, insured for £400, will cost £25. I would prefer to use them if I need to post, as they have a depot in most towns. I have a box that the late, great and much missed Old Git sent me my beautiful P in. So, if posting helps, please get in touch. Cheers, Karl. Oh, er, bump.

18.
Resesve on the Washburn's £275. I'm out, then. Yep - that's her alright. Does she still shave "down there" with that industrial sander? At least, I think she was shaving with it... Oh, and if you ever find out what the 3rd nipple does, could you let me know? J.
"Down there's" healed over. 3rd nipple is a "Youv'e got an extra tenner in your pocket, and it's mine" detector. I'll get me coat then study how to get back to plot. Karl.
19. So, the reason for sale is that I have just co-erced Tom Anderson (Tom1946) into parting with his '93 Japanese non export 75 re-issue Jazz, in Olympic White, Rosewood board, blocks and Tortie plate. She looks and plays beautifully. Her Who Must Be Ignored insists on no more than 3, so my lovely Highway 1 is the only one bordering on expendable, hence the sale. Cheers, Karl.
20.
You married my ex? J.
Yes mate. She still makes toast by nailing bread to the wall and burping at it.
21.
No - you're quite right. Here are the basses: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Aria-Pro11-SB1000-ba...r-/140442705431 http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Aria-Pro11-SB-1000-b...e-/250682983200 These are both Matsumoku examples and the prices of both - nice though they appear - are well beyond the realms of gibbering, tongue-swallowing, compulsive self-abusing loony land. J.
Didn't know you'd met the wife Jon.
22. Bump for pictures and the joy of me getting a bass I have wanted for years.
23. I have just got back from Tom's with my little hearts desire, a '94 made in Japan '75 re-issue,, White, ROSEWOOD board( the hard bit) and blocks. Stunning instrument that I have looked for for years. Top. top gent, great deals, transactions and instruments. Once again Tom, many thanks. Look after yourself cheers, Karl.
24. Fender Highway 1 Jazz, Sunburst, rosewood board, tortie plate, chrome "P" style rotary controls. The plate and P controls are after market. If a buyer wants the original black plastic rotaries putting back on, I will do that. This bass is very well set up, having been serviced by Richard Tomsom, of Tomson Guitars, Wigan, just a few months back. The serial number is Z7 150319. This suggests it is 2007, although Highway 1 became Highway One in late 2006. This is NOT the upgrade with Badass, graphite etc. I am the 2nd owner. The original owner told me that Fender ran out of Badass bridges in 2007 so did another run of the pre-upgrade models, to fill the gap. No case, just a cheap and nasty vinyl gig bag I'm afraid. It's all I can spare. There are a few tiny dinks on the back, but really in very good condition. Reviews of these basses on Ultimate Guitar and Harmony Central, mainly (but not all) good. Cheapest Sunburst I can find is £589, but that is the upgraded, current model. This really is a very good bass, quite light at about 8.7lbs, looks great, plays and sounds well. Reason for sale is that I am picking up probably the nearest I will ever get to my dream bass. More on that later. I am no longer allowed more than 3! If it doesnt sell, "Well, I really tried dear". OK, £375 posted, . £350 collected. I paid £500 plus delivery (mug) early last year, so I think my asking is fair. Photos (sorry, crap mobile but I'll do my best) will follow later today. Please ask any questions. Anyone wanting to come round and have a go is more than welcome. I will also endeavour to play it over the phone, but that is not likely to be today. EBay feedback under karl5066, Basschat feedback under karlfer. Many thanks for looking. Cheers, Karl.
