1. Very easy deal, top fella to buy off. The gear was in far better condition than he had modestly claimed. Fully recommended, all the best Alan.
2.
I'm waiting for the run-down of how the actual gig turned out, in whch you go down a storm, meet some great folks and get signed for a 5-year record deal with a major, thanks to a passing mogul doing charity work himself. That's what's going to happen, isn't it..? Well, isn't it..?
Erm probably not but love the two guys chomping popcorn! How do I copy that then please Dad?

4. Gone thanks.
5. Bought this last Friday to put on my La Cabronita, which sold on Saturday So, its off a Mex Classic series 60s jazz which actually sell at about £700 new. Maple neck, rosewood board, gloss urethane finish, C shape, 34" scale, 7.25 radius, 20 vintage style frets, synthetic bone 1.5" nut, white dot inlays, vintage style slotted truss rod nut. The guy selling it had stripped the headstock and painted it matt black. This didn't matter to me as it was going on a black La Cabronita body. I would think it would strip but I'm not doing it. The truss rod works fine as do the tuners. The neck is not immaculate, there is a dint and a couple of lacquer bits gone. The black paint job is not the best in the world. None of this can be noticed from a couple of feet away. There is a lacquer crack on the back of the headstock, but that's all it is. The lacquer is a bit discoloured around it. All the noticeable bad bits are in the photo. Would this be a decent replacement for something like a P neck, yup, or I wouldn't have bought it. I am also including the waterslide decal in the photos. £70 collected from Wigan, £80 couriered mainland UK. Sorry, cleared cheque, cash on collection or bank transfer only. PLEASE read my feedback at bottom of post. Any questions please feel free. Sorry about the photos, cheers, Karl. 6. Oh Lordy, those brown grill cloth
7.
Yeah I'm really sorry but I'm with Ray. But that doesn't mean sh*t really, other peeps will love it!
What you get up to in your own time is your business Seriously though Nige, thanks for taking the trouble to listen and comment, appreciated! Apparently the two tracks have now been removed as the Kickstarter thing has, er, started. That campaign is to help fund the recording/mixing of 10 track CD we hope to release before Brofest in Feb.
8. I always carry a spare bass. It has proved absolutely vital with string breaks. Can be up and running in seconds for the next song, after finishing the current song with 3 strings. In 40 years of countless gigs, I've had to do this twice
9. Chris, following link contains the details on you bass as I was so desperately tempted myself. Was glad when you bought it, putting me out of my dilemma. Fortunately, with a second SEI inbound, I can't afford this GLWTS, Karl LINKY!! 10. I look after my gear in an almost psychotic manner and will very rarely loan anybody any gear. Folk I know, who will respect my gear are different though. Even then, I will say to them "If anything gets damaged, I will need you to put it right". On the VERY rare occasion I need to borrow something, I offer them that guarantee . My attitude is from several years back when I loaned a relative youngster my original, immaculate, first run, ABM 500. He dropped it, laughed and said "oops".
11. Welcome to Basschat Importing a photo to Basschat The above link may help, good luck, Karl.
12. If he isn't checking in on his advert it has probably gone. Best to send him a pm I would think.
13.
And what exactly is wrong with Cornish Yarg? Hmm? Are you some sort of Yargist? You want to be careful or you'll have the Yargite fundamentalists after you.
And the Peoples Front For Cheshire
14. You need to scroll down a bit to optional accessories CarvinWorld.com International : BX700 MONO BLOCK 700W BASS AMP HEAD
15.
I know exactly what you mean sir! What are you selling?
Just shows what a marketing genius I am. Have a look at any post I have made. 2 lines below where it says 14 Limelight, there is some big red writing. The line below that is a link to the bass I have for sale. Her Who Makes Bread By Breathing On Toast has been telling me for years I'm an epic failure
16. Like most other folk, struggling to sell my own, otherwise...................................
17. Lovely looking bass!
18. Discreet, what was the nut width on your 51custom, currently residing at t'other Mark's gaff?
19.
sort of - everything (and I mean EVERYTHING) is at least double-tracked apart from the bass [s]and drums[/s] - they're generally perfect the first time round….
I wish
20. Is that a 40mm nut width? Don't really know why I'm asking as London is pushing 200 miles away, but.................
21.

discreet are you about to cut that infant's throat with a plectrum?
22. Some proper folk giving you advice here Martyn so I won't. I just hope you and your family are all ok, family and health are more important than plank spanking. Good luck my friend, tha knows where I am.
23. Very kind Paul, my round To be honest it was the guitarist/vocalist that did the mixing. In the studio, they isolated the bass tracks and I was horrified at some of the sloppiness and mistakes, but it was one take on each song, both of which we were re-arranging/adding to half an hour before studio time. Excuses, but hey, I'm actually only an old weekend warrior with creaking joints, dying brain cells and too much beer gut. Can't deny though it's a great feeling, actually having a couple of songs I've helped write, on a recorded media . Monthly rehearsal this Sunday, look forward to their response to a song wot I have writ
24.
As long as you pass that Jazz of his my way for keeping quiet about it all Karl
Can't Lozz, he flogged it
25.
Glad you're still doing it . More power to ya! Sounds like you'll get better the more you're together. The bass stands out, which is a good thing Playing loose is always better than actual recording IMHO . Trying too hard not to make mistakes etc. Keep it up
Thank you, we should get better, we were actually still writing both numbers as we were recording them but I would guess we aren't the first to do that
